You know what, I have spent my whole four years of my life that I was into piercings, thinking they wouldn't hurt. I have read so many stories on BME so far saying that they won't hurt, and also asking people I knew that had lip piercings if it hurt, and they said no, so I went in full and ready for a pain free snakebite.

Yes yes, the big 16. The time when all kids are out getting their cars, driving around, being free. but i'm different, I didn't want a car, I don't want to drive at all, I wanted what I love, a piercing.. Anyway.. I had wanted snakebites so bad, and, I was going to get them.(and..after a year of convincing, my parents actually said that I could get them.) My whole day had started out as shit, because everything was going wrong, it was snowing, my brother and mother were fighting over Nick, (brother's friend) and so I just wanted to go to sleep. I then..oh, my mom came up in my room I think to come tell me to get ready because my dad was now awake. So I sluggishly got up, grabbed my shoes and socks and my teddy, yes, my teddy, and proceeded down stairs. I look in the kitchen and there my friend is, so I smiled because I was happy at least someone could come. (this was a surprise from my brother, so I didn't know she was over) and then I got all ready and we left, and I brought teddy with me, which was a Christmas gift from Matt.
Ok! So here we comeeee to save the DAY! No i'm kidding, but then we got to Sacred Art Tattoos, the nice tattoo place close to my house that I have wanted to go into for God knows how long. And then my family and Sam gets in there, and we're just standing around till some chick comes up and asks what I want done, so I tell her snakebites, and she goes back and tells the guy what I want done. I apparently interrupted on a tattoo, because a guy came out of the room and he was getting ready, I was allowed to go back in there. Believe me, it is a good thing when your piercer is hot. Though, it's also bad to get a piercing when you're sick too, which I completely ignored for the time being.
So, I am in the back room with my lovely friend Samantha, and the guy asked me my name and everything, told me I would be better off using bigger rings, because I have a fat lip, and first he marked my lip with a Sharpie, had me look at it, and I said it was ok and yeah. First off, he told me that it would be like a burning feeling, and not really hurt, which I had already anticipated, and that's how the first one was, it didn't hurt that much at all. But now onto the second one, as he put the needle through, seriously, it hurt like a bitch, because he got it right in the edge of my lip, which kinda sucks but I still love it. So he put the ring in, and I was all done. ^-^ He told me to rinse with biotene and use Dial on the outside, so I is/will.
Isn't it amazing, just turned 16, and I already have Snakebites. ^-^ Which I absolutely love. Though, my lip is so swollen, it looks not pretty. -_- And it sucks when I eat, can't even bite into anything, have to cut it up real small, but yes, I do look smexy with them!
Also, another thing that kinda sucks about having a really swollen lip and rings coming out of them. You can't bite onto anything! Every thing I eat, has to be small enough to just pop right in, or I have to tear it or cut it. My first thing I ate was a sandwich after I got home, well, other than the ice cream and cake, (birthday party) and yeah, it's really weird, can't use my lip at all to help eat >.< But it's all worth it.
*ahem* Ok, for anyone in the lower east Michigan area, go to this place. It was seriously freakin awesome. And there was a motorcycle right in there too, so it was quite cool. The piercer was really nice, sad I forgot his name. He called me a trooper though, so I should hurt him for that. Said I didn't flinch once. <3. And there you go, the painful birthday I had, but was totally awesome!
