My lip piercing was the first piercing I ever wanted, finally when i got to the right age seventeen I went out and got it done. My parents are really weird about piercings so that can explain why I waited so long.
At A Glance Author Ryan Contact Ryan@bme.anon When Three months ago Artist Brody Studio Tattoo shop Location Prince Edward Island It was mid April and I was bugging my mom to let me get my lip done until she finally cracked and told me I could go, My mom always said no wait until your older so I thought I was old enough and I guess my age and the fact I wouldn't get off my moms ass about it she said yes. That was the best 9:00 am yes answer I ever got. But before my mom would let me go get it done I had to cut grass at my grandparents so I did that as fast as I could possibly do it so I could go to the shop, But when I got to the shop the piercer told me I would have to wait an hour to get it because they were cleaning up so after a long hour I went in and told him I wanted it done he thought I was going for a side but I told him middle which in my opinion looks a lot better then a side.
He went and got the table and gear set up to do the procedure which took another 10 minutes because he got a phone call, so on top of the other hour of me waiting around I had to wait another couple of minutes which seemed more like hours as well. But finally he called me into the room. As I looked at my girlfriend I started to get butterflies in my stomach, but they soon went away after he started marking me down. It took him a few minutes to figure out were to put it because it has to be perfect obviously because it's in the middle of my face and finally got that done.
Now for the best part the needle piercing. When I seen him put the clamp on my lip and check to see its perfect I really got worried again but I did a little bit of breathing to calm me down, I had about one million questions zooming through my mind at that point. Brody started a conversation about mothers day and how he was getting fucked over on grass cutting which helped me a lot, and then finally the moment of truth the needle piercing as he was getting it lined up I grappled myself to the chair but then let go because I realized I was over reacting and then the needle was going through, I found the feeling to be quite interesting the feeling of flesh parting for the hole was a fucking sweet feeling.
After he got the jewellery in which didn't hurt that much ether there was a little bit of a sting in it that was really just getting the ball on the ring though. He was going to give me a care sheet but then said I'm guessing you already know how to take care of it. So he told me to look and I gave him the money and didn't notice any swelling until I got back to the car. But Brody did a fucking kick ass job on it goes along with my nose so it looks straight as it can be.
Learning to eat with a fork, drink out of cans bottles etc. wasn't too much fun for the first couple weeks because of the swelling but I managed fine. After I got home my mom told me we had to go out for a big dinner and my face dropped, My lip now looked really big and I had to go out to eat at a Bar. But after I found out about that I decided to get some juice to get some sugar into my system. But it was in a can so I ended up getting it all over my shirt and floor. My girlfriend and I went for a walk so I could finish drinking my juice to save a mess to clean up in the house. Also the dinner wasn't so bad I got a straw so drink my juice and I got a soft wrap which turned out not so soft. But anyway my advice is to eat everything you have with a fork and knife until your mouth isn't so soar.
But anyway I hope my experience will enlighten people on lip piercings in general. Remember go with what you like don't listen to people and there comments it's what you want its not there body. Never let people intimidate you into what and were you get pierced. But other then that don't let "it hurt so fucking much" make you think twice about a piercing it's not worth the worry because soon enough you will realize it's not that painful.
