I've always been interested in getting my lip pierced but I really started being serious about it when my cousin Deneise got her lip done. It looked so amazing on her and I decided that I needed to have one.

I loved the look of it and when I wasnt looking at the pictures, I was reading stories and spening hours sucking up as much information as I could. When I thought I had enough info, I wrote a two page thing on my computer on everything I knew about the beautiful lip piercing, the aftercare, how it gets done, risks, all that jazz, you know. Then I decided to aproached my mother.
She said when I was a bit older (i was 13. Im just turning 14 in two days). But I was not going to take that for an answer. I didnt let it go, I kept asking, getting more information on it, sending her email after email, found a place to get it, and waited. Finally, 3 days before my 14th birthday, she asked me what I wanted and 3 guesses to what I said. I was expecting her to say no but to my surprise, she finally agreed. I was so shocked. Like, my mom said yes? It felt like it wasnt really going to happen, but guess it was. She told me we would go on Tuesday. It was only Sunday.
I spent the next few days planning ever detail of it, wearing a fake one to get used to it and of course, bragging :P.
Tuesday finally rolled around and I was so syched. I hardly got any sleep that night. My mom woke me up and told me that I had to come to work with her for awhile cause she had to teach somebody how to do something (shes a real estate agent). So I was playing around on the computer, you know, I was nice and calm. I knew it would be two hours until I could go get it done anyways. But my mom surprised me again when she burst into the office and yelled,
"Ready to go get a hole punched into your lip?"
Aparently, the guy didnt show up so she could take me early. I was pretty damn scared right then, I'll tell you.
I was a bit taken aback by what my mom had said, but I went out into the car. Thats when my nerves kicked in and I remembered that I hadnt had anything to eat so we went to go get a bag of chips.
So next came finding the place. We found it ok (to my surprise) and walked in. As soon as i got in the door, a girl named Lisa walked out and, thakfully, she was nice.
She handed me the paperwork but my hands were shaking to bad so my mom had to fill it out. Next came The Room.
I walked in and saw two chairs and Lisa led me to one and my mom sat in the other one. She gave my this thing that made my mouth foam up and thenput the purple dot on and i liked the placement where it was, which is on the left side of my lip. So she clamped the spot and then came the scary part. My heart was pounding so hard, I was sure everyone could here it. She put the clamp on, it didnt hurt, Lisa said that some people say that that is the worst part. Right... im not so sure. And then the needle came through ( I so was not ready for it, i didnt even know she had the damn needle in her hand) I'm not going to lie, it hurt, but not that much. It feels like a needle just went through your lip. I know I'm a big help. She put in the jewelry and I was ready to go. I was mad cause my mom didnt hold my hand.
It hasnt swelled yet, although its pretty tender. I guess we'll see how sleeping goes. The ring is like way to big though, It keepy falling over, which is not good considering I want it straight up and down. Nothing has come out of it yet, it didnt bleed, swell, or turn a weird colour. At first it was a little red but it went away.
Im sooo not used to eating yet. I had a hard time drinking a bottle of water lol. Other things, i just put into little pieces and shove it in. That seems to work ok now.
Overall, I absolutly love my lip ring. It suits me great. Its perfect and I would recomend Lisa of Minds Eye Tattoo if your in the Windsor area.
