Well, last night I was looking through the bme photos, and I was searching for something I could do myself, and hide from my mother. I was thinking of something in the oral region, since I'm not one to sleep with my mouth open or anything. Well I was looking through the lip rings, I want the snake bites and the labret, but that will wait, tongue I will in no way do myself, and then I saw it.

It was easily hide-able but I could show it off if I want. So I went hunting through my room for my tiny horse shoe ring I got by accident on line, I thought it was bigger, oh well.
Anywho, I found it and got excited because everything was comming together. I know I'm not the most skilled with piercing, I only have my ears, and 1 ring in each lobe at that, so I wanted something new.well I brushed my teeth and rinsed with listerine, and got out a sewing needle and dunked it in listerine.
It took me about 3 tries cuz I kept on whimping out, but I pushed it through and was surprised at how little it hurt, it felt like a pinch. Then it happened. After the needle was it I felt this whooshing sensation and I got lightheaded and dizy. I was really worried so I sat on the toilet and waited it out.
It only lasted about 20 seconds, but still I was freaked. When it passed I stood up slowly and tried the horse shoe ring, which was a flop. I used a sewing needle, yes I know, how sterile of me! Well in miami it's more less impossible to find a place that sells needles, so we must fend for our piercings.
So after much strugling I realized the ring won't fit no matter how much I tried. So very dissapointed and still kinda dizzy and pale, I rinsed my mouth with listerine one last time and stimbled off to bed, smiley-less.
But it was an experience, and I'm glad I did it, but I still need a needle. This is a good piercing for me since I'm such a pansy, and as a bonus, no blood! Yay.
Well this morning I woke up and ran for the mirror. I have read way too many stories on bme of infections not to worry, so I ckecked it out, and everything looks normal, so I feel better.
It does however sting a bit. But I'm not really worried about that. I guess I could just go to a place to get it done, but if I do it myself it will cost less and I could finally say hey guys look what I did!
It is not all that safe to do it myself, and I am well known for not being a stickler for maintenance of anything, even a chia pet.
The dizzy spell was really weird. I felt weak and light headed. Some stories say they felt like that also when they got pierced, so I guess it's normal-ish.
The feeling of the needle going through the skin tissue honestly did not hurt as much as you would think. It hurts more to bite your tongue than it did to pierce it.
You kind of feel it going in and out, but since it is such a thin piece, the two feelings kinda blend togetherto make a sharp quick pinch.
When I went through it I realized I didn't have my camera, so I went back to take a pic because I knew no one would believe me. Even leaving the needle in and walking to my room was not painful, just a bit uncomfy cuz the needle was pinching my lip.
I doubt you will feel that discomfort, mostly because I am the only person silly enough to do something like that.
Every once in a while I get a sharp jolt in my lip, but it doesn't really bother me much, it's not enough to bother me much.
This has been one of the more pleasant experiences I have put a needle through the bottom right lip 3 times, my septum twice, and eyebrow twice, and by far this has been the most pleasant.
No blood was something I wasn't expecting, but it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. I'm not one for blood spurting, but there was none, and I look now and there isn't even a pin mark.
It is a lovely piercing really, it would look nice on just about anyone and can be hidden even easyer than a septum ring, which is saying a lot.
Thankyou for reading my story, I hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful in your study of smiley piercings
