For a very long time I always thought the lip piercing was rad, but I never thought I would get it done. Then a little more than one year ago it really started to interest me, but I could not get a piercing I couldn't afford, I had no job and could not make 80 bucks by bumming money of my friends. I just quit my job at Burger King a few months ago, I thought I could do without money, but I can not. I finally convinced myself to get a new job. I finally received a low paying job cutting grass for the city of Toronto. After cutting grass part time for I week I finally receive my pay check. I decided I was going to get it done on Friday right after school ended at my favourite spot Kristal Blade.

So after do a bit of research on Bmezine, read a couple stories and looked at a few pics I decided I was going to get my lip done in a 14 gauge.
So Friday came around and I was so pumped, after school I drove down with my girlfriend Michelle. On the way down she told me she was going to get her tongue pierced, I was stoked that Michelle was getting a piercing done with me. So after the drive, on which we decused piercings we enter Kristal Blade told them what we were getting done, but they were very busy (never go on a Friday) and we needed to come back in two hours. I was disapointd that I needed to wait another whole two hours to get me lip pierced. So Michelle and I went to a near by restaurant and got something to eat (you can never get pierced on an empty stomach).
So after two hours it was finally are time I could feel my heart beat with excitement. Knowing Michelle never likes going first I volunteered to go. Michelle and I went in the piercing room with my good buddy Shawny. I sat down in a dentist like chair he marked my lip and let me check it in the mirror, I thought it looked centre and Michelle agreed. So he put the clamps on and stuck the needle in. It was not that painful. Getting my nipples pierced was much worse! He then went to put the jewellery in, but had a bit of trouble and told me I had fat lip. He soon got the jewellery in and I took a look in the mirror. It looked gnarly. He told me the after care and gave me a sheet with instructions. Then it was Michelle's turn I could see the fear in her eyes. He put a mark on her tongue and asks her if it looks okay, she agreed and so did I. He then clamps it and pierces it and then put the jewellery in, he showed me and it look hot. We paid for the piercings and left very pleased with are new piercings. That night we had fun with are new piercing, I especially enjoyed Michelle's new tongue piercing.
My lip was swollen for a little while, when people asked why it was swollen I told them different stories I made up, like I fought a shark shit like that. It was a bit sore for the first few days and eating was extremely difficult that you have to open your mouth far for hurt a bit so I tried to eat things you eat with a fork. It then started to feel better but my lip has stayed swollen for quite a while and has a little bump under the piercing. I believe that the barbell may have been a little small to start with and that may be what's causing the problems, but I have continued soaking it in sea salt and it is looking a lot better the last two days, and feels better too.
I have had my lip piercing now for two months, I had not had any problems. I wash my lip with sea salt every day. I am now thinking of getting it done on the opposite side so I can have snakebites. To the people out there that are thinking of getting it done my advice to you is do it just do it. It is one of my favourite piercings and you can easily hide it with different jewellery. Before getting it done research it on Bmezine and read awesome stories, like mine.
