About a year ago I pierced my Lip my self and since than I've gotten addicted to piercing... I have 8, my lip, the center and the right side, my tongue web, my scrumper, and my ears, all were self done. I have tried my belly button but. But I didn't leave in the needle long enough and the ring wouldn't go in. I am very safe about my piercing. I make sure they are all clean and I am doing it right, it's all thanks to BME.com.

Just the other day I was urging for a new piercing. I got on BME and looked around, I've wanted a septum for a while. I decided I was going to pierce it.. But that didn't work out. I looked one BME and I looked for one that was going to be easy to hide. I came upon a smiley, seemed pretty interesting, and it was an easy one to hide. So I took out of my spare captive ring and put it in rubbing alcohol for about 30 - 40 minutes.

While it was doing that I searched around BME and read some stories from people who have done it themselves. I didn't want to read the one's that weren't very successful, it would scare me. I also looked at pictures so I knew where the right place to pierce it was. There went many stories about self-done smiley piercing, but I found some and them wren helpful. I wasn't nervous at all since I've done it 7 times before.

After I knew where I wanted to pierce it, I took the ring and a big safety pin and walked to my room, and got some Listerine from the bathroom and swished it around in my mouth for about a minute. While I was doing that I washed my hands with lots of soap and I put hand sanitizer in my hands. We were out of rubber gloves at that point. I walked back into my room and pulled up my upper lip and looked to see where the best spot would be. When I found it I took the needle and tried to push through. It was harder than I thought it would have been, it didn't hurt, just a little sting. The needle kept slipping because I kept losing grip of my lip. I finally got it, but than the needle was too big, but I could feel it poking out of the other end. I pushed as hard as I could but still wouldn't go through. I got mad and just grabbed my captive ring and tried to shove it through, for some reason it wouldn't go through. I took out my labret out of my lip and I twisted it in to see if it would go through than replace it with the captive ring. No luck. But that didn't stop me I just took it and started shoving even harder. I could see it poking through the other end and I was getting excited, my arm started hurt so I took a couple breaks. Finally one more shove.. And pop. Finally it went through and I was so happy. But I left in my labret ring for a while and then I took it out and replaced with my captive ring.

When I got to school I couldn't wait until I showed all my friends. My first impression of them saying was probably "eww that's really gross." Or "man, your crazy", well to my surprise most of them liked it a lot, they said it was very unique. After I got home from school, I looked in the mirror and I didn't like the way the captive ring looked, since it was blue and it looked like I had a cavity. So I decided to go to the store and get a new ring, I looked around there weren't very many choices. I finally picked a new ring. It was a horse shoe with spikes at the end. It put it in and I liked the way it looked. When I have my mouth semi-opened it looked like I had vampire fangs. When I went back to school and showed them my new ring they said the horse shoe looks way better than the captive one I had before.

It's been about a couple days since I've gotten my scrumper pierced and I am really happy with it. I highly recommend it. But before you pierce something make sure you know what you're doing and research it first. Its much safer, and most important make sure everything is clean before you pierce anything, and do not forget to look for veins. The best way is to go to a professional. Much cleaner, and safer. I will be back for updates.
