If you can get it done by a pro, DO IT! It's far more safer than doing it yourself and it usually comes out better. I only do it because I have an addiction to piercing that my parents don't seem to share with me. Just saying it to those people reading right now that may want to pierce themselves, also, be as CLEAN as possible. Thanks! Now lets get on with it!
I have been into piercing ever since I got my lobes pierced three years ago. I had been itching for new piercings right after. Since then I have gotten three more lobe piercings on each ear, a tongue web, and just recently, a frowny. That is what I am going to write about.
I had not been craving for this piercing, I really wanted an upper scrumper, or a smiley. I still do. It was about 1 AM in the morning and I was still surfing BME for scrumper experiences and pictures. I suddenly came across a picture of a frowny and moved on. I had planning all afternoon to do a second web piercing under my tongue and decided that I should do it now. I started to gather the supplies I would need. I grabbed a sewing pin(stupid, stupid I know)
toilet paper to keep my mouth as dry as possible, and I headed to the bathroom to clean out my mouth. I brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth with my mouthwash and water mix and repeated. I then put my retainers in and went upstairs.
I got anti-bacterial alcohol and put my two needles in some of it(incase I loose one) and washed my hands. I took my supplies into my room and started to set up my " studio ". I took out my jewelry in my tongue web and started to poke the skin under my first piercing, no luck. I really started to push, but nothing happened. I really didn't want to give up and tried one last time, but it didn't want to be pierced, yet. So I sadly started to put away my supplies until I suddenly remembered the scrumper that I wanted and got my other needle and started to poke at it. It was EXTREMELY tender, so I decided it wouldn't be to smart to pierce it. Really disappointed I set down my supplies and turned on my TV and watched Viva La Bam for a while. I suddenly remembered the frowny that I had seen online, and decided why not. So I got out my supplies again and took a look at my webbing under my bottom lip. It looked okay, so I decided I would do it.
I took one of the needles and poked it. It actually went through one of the layers of skin, and I didn't even feel it. I decided I was going to do it.
Still sitting on my bed with my huge mirror in front of me, I started to push the needle through my skin. It went strait through, except for that last layer of skin. I put my finger on the other end and pushed the needle through no problem. There I was with a long needle sticking out of my mouth, I looked so weird and I couldn't talk. I had to sit like that for a frigging hour and a half! In that time I had cleaned a piercing earing from one of my lobes and was ready to take it out.
By now, I was watching Robin Hood, looking stupid and grinning in my big mirror with a needle in my mouth. I was ready to take out the needle. Now this is were the pain kicked in!
It hurt so much to get the needle out that my eyes were watering and I put the earring in and put on it's end. I had done it! I now had ten piercings and finally crossed over into double-digits!(yeah!)A few minutes later, I went to sleep, but not for long. I woke up about 20 minutes later to a pain in my mouth and realized it was the end of the earing. I had some cotton squares and tried to put some of them around the end and went to bed.
---------------------------The next morning---------------------------
The next morning, my lip was kind of burning but nothing overwhelming. I checked it and replaced the cotton from the night before. Later on, I ate and whenever I took a bite, it killed my gums. I tried to replace it several times, but thought about what it was doing to my gums. If I kept the end on, it could erode my gums. This thought scared me so I decided I should take the end off.
-------That is easier said than done.---------------------------------
I had to use my pliers (which I use for my tongue web)but this was so much harder and painful than I thought it would be. It killed!!! I actually started to cry and never thought it would come off. Finally it did, and I vowed never to do that again.
During dinner, my burger was getting stuck in the stud, and I actually took it out, which worried me. I ate the rest of my dinner with it out.
After when I tried to put it in, it wouldn't go through, but eventually gave in.
I absolutely love it and can show it to only the people I want. My parents still don't know, which is good, and still have no idea about my tongue web.( my secret. I've only shown one of my friends so far)
This piercing came out great, and I think it's great for people who like hidden piercings. I can't wait to show everybody my new frowny! Nobody but me knows about it! School starts in two days, so I'll show all my friends and anyone who wants to look!
Feel free to e~mail at the address above about anything and please, be careful with your body and what you do to it!Peace.
