I've always been fascinated with body piercings since I was quite young, I'd got my ears pierced at a young age, not being to fond of the gun, having to be held down to the seat of having it pierced. As I grew older, fourteen, I decided I wanted my nose pierced, so I went and got it done, and recently I've gotten my nose pierced again on the same side, these piercings were all done by a gun, even though nose piercings are not supposed to be with a gun, and the studio wasn't clean atall, it turned out ok. I've always wanted a lip piercing, I thought they were so cool, and I was envious of people I would walk past who had them, and also thinking they must be so brave going through all that pain. So after much keeping on to my parents, they finally let me get it done for a birthday present, I was so happy. It was the first day of the summer holidays, and I thought I'd better get it done at the start, so it'll give the new piercing time to heal.
At A Glance Author Jen Contact santas_hoe@hotmail.com When It just happened Artist Sexy looking guy with lots of piercings :-P Studio House of david, body piercing stall at Ashton Court Festival Location Bristol, uk I'd arrived at Ashton Court Festival, this was not my desired place to get a new piercing, at a festival, but I was so eager and excited to get it done. I started to look around, a found the only piercing stall there was there, there were pictures on the wall showing pictures of peoples piercings, and a desk where there were all jewelry laid out under a glass cabinet thing, and the till was behind this. The nerves were kicking in a bit, when I said to these girls from my school that I was getting my lip done, and they all gave me worried looks and good lucks.
After on decided on getting the left side of my lip pierced I asked the guy if I could get it done, I paid and he gave me a form to fill out. A nice looking guy who worked there appeared from one of the set up rooms at the top, and he told me he wouldn't be long, he just had to get the equipment up together. After waiting for five minutes, he called me up, and surprising enough, I wasn't as nervous as I expected myself to be. My friend Clare came with me into this little room, and I sat myself down on this black couch, quite comfy, hehe. He told me to take off my hat, I don't know why, probably so he could see better? And I noticed all the equipment was all clean in plastic bags.
He was making general conversation to calm me down asking me if I was coming down to the festival tomorrow, etc. He cleaned my lip, and marked the dot on, asked me if it looked good, and I agreed. He put the clamp on, and at this time, I was just staring into space, trying not to notice what he was doing. Another piercer guy appeared in the door, and he said to me "Lip piercings are one of the easiest piercings to do" he then said "See that wasn't so bad, you're pierced" I was quite shocked and replied with "Was that it?" I knew he was putting the needle through but I couldn't feel it much, I then felt as he slipped the jewelry through, and he showed me a selection of balls to go on my ring, I picked just a normal silver one and he screwed it into place. He applied pressure to my lip I think with some tissue, because it was bleeding, which hurt quite a bit. As he was doing this, he was going through the after care instructions, and gave me a piece of paper with it on. He kept asking me if I was ok because I was very quiet, just listening to him, because my lip hurt and I didn't really want to talk much. I then stood up fine, and bought the aftercare lotion, thanked my piercer, and went on my way to listen to some live bands and wow my friends. Lip piercings defiantly don't hurt as you might expect them to, so if you're thinking of having it done, go for it, because I can guarantee you'll love the outcome!
It's now the day after I've had it done, woke up this morning and it didn't hurt atall, turning it is also ok, although I can't turn it loads because it starts to sting, there's also a white layer of skin near the inside of the hole, but I don't think this is anything to worry about..
If you want to get in contact with me and answer any questions you can add me on msn, I'll be more than happy too.
