I've wanted a piercing now for the longest time. It has always been alright with my dad but he has been in jail and just recently has gotten out. I also just recently promoted so my mom finally told me that I could get my lip pierced. I have been looking on BME for awhile and changed my mind to get my septum pierced. So my dad picks me up and he wanted to hang out, saying as I haven't seen him in awhile. So we go back to his house and we decide to go to an internet café called Land Storm. When we got there my dad started talking to my friend Dovey about her gauged ears and also talked to my boyfriend about his septum piercing. Dovey asked my dad if he would ever let me get a piercing and he said yes. He couldn't really say no because his labret, nipples, and Prince Albert are pierced.

My boyfriend wouldn't let me get my septum pierced; he said it would look bad. So we decided to get my lip pierced with a 14 gauge loop on the side. When me and my dad were on the bus he told me I should get my septum pierced just to piss off tom so again, we changed our minds and were going to get my septum pierced. On the walk over to Blvd. Tattoo where our friend Jason works, I bought my dad a pack of cigarettes that had a free calling card. We decided to call my mom and tell her that I was going to get a piercing and she asked what and I told her my septum. I thought she would be ok with it but she told me if I got it, she would rip it out. So I just hung up on her and my dad and I were still going to get it done.
But on the way my dad told me that I should get my lip pierced now and then in two weeks he will take me back to get a retainer for my septum so we can hide it from her. So again, we change our minds to get my lip pierced. When we get to Blvd. we talk to Chris and Jason isn't there who did all my dad's tattoos, nor is his girlfriend who did all my Dad's piercings. So we just asked Chris' friend Elvis to do it. I was nervous because I was expecting Jason to do it and I've known him for my whole life. So we talk to Elvis about how much it will be, what gauge would be best and what jewelry I wanted. So we make all our decisions and decide a 14 gauge, and a silver ring with a black ball. Elvis told us to sit down and just hang out for awhile. So I did so, as my dad talked to Chris about his next tattoos. Elvis was talking on the phone to a client about covering up a messed up nostril piercing so that made me question if he was going to mess up my lip.
Not long after he called me behind the desk and talked on the phone some more. When he was done he told me to sit up on the table where behind was a mirrored wall. Sex pistols were playing in the back round and at this point I wasn't really nervous at all. The environment was chill, good music, and everyone was friendly. So anyways, Elvis told me to put the ring were I wanted it and made a small blue dot on my lip. He moved the ring and made me swoosh around mouthwash for 10 seconds. After that he cleaned out side my lip and made sure that the placing was ok one more time before he put the clamps on. When I gave him the ok he put the clamps on. He talked to my dad about how it was the worst job to have a cold at.
He took out the needle and didn't tell me to breath. I think because he knew I wasn't nervous. I don't know. So he just stuck it through and it felt like a sharp pinch. And he left the needle in for a few seconds while he put the ring on needle. As he pulled out the needle the ring went in and that was a bit of a harder pinch then the actual needle. Neither of the two events hurt at all. So we stayed at talked to Chris and Elvis about Jason and what not, gave Elvis 40$ plus a tip, and left. Afterwards we walked back to the bus and it really didn't hurt much. It just felt like a small dull tooth ache. My mom was ok with it and I've been using mouthwash and dial soap to clean it 3 times a day. Today is the second day I have had my piercing and it is a bit swollen, but not bad.
