After getting my third tattoo completed at Lambadi City, I still had the desire to be poked one more time before I left. So, I decided upon a piercing that I had been thinking about for quite sometime! An off-center lip piercing!
At A Glance Author Dawn Contact Dawn@bme.anon IAM Dawnie When A year ago Artist Casper Studio Lambadi City Tattoo Location Fairfield, Ohio As I said before, I was all ready at the shop when I decided upon it, so I was ready to go when Casper was done preparing for the piercing! I was already on a natural high from my fresh tattoo, and was ready for more! My fiance and I waited around the shop as Casper was preparing the room and all of the equipment. We glanced through the artists portfolios and browsed through some awesome tattoo magazines while we were there. I also took the time to apply some curel on my foot tattoo that had been done four days prior to this experience!
When Casper was done preparing everything I went into the piercing room. This is a room I have become quite familiar with over the past year! I feel really comfortable in there and very comfortable with Casper poking holes in my body, which says a lot in my opinion. He had me rinse my mouth out with Biotene mouth wash, and then I sat down in the chair and chatted with Casper as he prepared his work tray with everything he would need. He asked me where I wanted it to be off center, I showed him, I wanted it off center and to the left side. So, he marked a spot, I got up, looked in the mirror and said that it was great! Sat back down, and then he wiped the area to sanitize it and reached for the clamp! He clamped my lip and got the needle ready. Then he told me the usual breath in deeply and exhale. He pushed the needle through as I exhaled. It was a fairly pain free piercing for me, although I did enjoy the feeling of the needle in my lip. He then slid the cbr ring into my li p and secured it. That was that. I looked in the mirror and I had a beautiful lip piercing! I was in love with it from day one!
We went back out to the lobby, I paid and tipped Casper, and thanked him for the job well done! Casper has done many other piercings on my body and I will tell you right now that he is a amazing piercer. He is very sanitary with everything, so there are no worries there, and he had a great sense of humor! I would most definitely recommend him to anyone in the area of Cincinnati who is desiring something pierced. He is very skilled and trustworthy. He is also very truthful, if he does not think something is piercable, or thinks something is to risky he will be bluntly honest with you about it, which is something I hold as highly valuable. I left the shop that day feeling totally wonderful, I had a beautiful new tattoo that Hudson did and a beautiful new lip ring that I adored!
The first few days my lip was a purplish color, so I suppose that was bruising, and it was quite swollen, indeed! However that all subsided within a few days. This piercing healed up rather quickly and quite nicely! I used Biotene mouthwash on this piercing and it seemed to work wonders. I also did the occasional sea salt soak on it and that seemed to promote the healing as well!
So, that piercing experience was almost nine months ago. Since then I had to remove my lip piercing due to my job that I had. I kept it in for about four months, and adored it every day. But when it came down to it I had to take it out for work. I do not regret getting it for one second however. I actually wish that I could get it re-done, because it was one of my favorite piercings! But with my current employment I am not able to do that at the moment. However, I would love to have this piercing done in the future again if I can ever manage to keep it during employment!
I highly recommend this piercing to any person who is wanting it done. However, I suggest you consider if it is suitable for your professional attire or is even allowed at your place of employment before you get the piercing done. I must admit that it was quite a sad day when I was forced to retire my lovely off center lip piercing that I adored so since day one! So, think about it, and if you decide that you want this piercing, then get it, it was a wonderful piercing for me and I do not regret getting it one bit, I only regret taking it out.
Happy piercing!
