I had been wanting an eyebrow ring since I was young, about 15 or so, my mom has always been real open about stuff, she said I could I just had to pay for and wait a couple years. Ok whatever. It never really came up again (in serious discussion, only as jokes) till I came to college. I actually started in college at 17, but I turned 18 late that September.

One day about a week after class I was waiting outside my Civ class talking to my friend Dave and someone else about possibly getting my eyebrow done again to commemorate my 18th, it being illegal to do underage piercing without parental consent in KY And beings I don't smoke or have enough cash to buy porn I decided on getting a piercing. As I was talking to them I thought, well Dave's Labret is pretty cool looking, and it would be neat to get I guess. After asking him a couple questions about how it felt to get it pierced and aftercare I decided I would get one soon.

After class that day I decided, what the fuck I'll go get one done today. So after asking my roommate to go with me to get the piercing we left and headed to Ain't That Art. And unfortunately I don't remember my pierces name.

He did the standard, this is what I'm going to do, this is how you take care of it, sign this form here and here. Ok let's do this. I have to admit I was pretty nervous, but when he pushed the needle through it felt a bit less than a bee sting and the sting was gone pretty quick. But I immediately became hooked to getting piercing.

Currently since then I've gauged one ear up to an 8ga, plan on going to about a 4 and also doing the other ear to a 4. (I had my one ear pierced by my mom when I was about 2 years old, so I just decided to repierce that closed hole with a needle and gad it up) And I am planning on going tomorrow to get my eyebrow done, money depending.

The only problem I had with the piercing is that it seemed to take forever to get better. Although I never really had any BIG problems with it, it ached for a few days and it took me about 2 weeks to get used to eating with it in my mouth. Trust me after about 3-4 times biting it, you'll learn to eat MUCH MUCH more careful :P Other than a little discomfort healing went fine. The first thing I put in my lip after getting it pierced (Besides the original ball) was a SMALL spike and a small (for my lip) bar. Unfortunatly it really fucked with my lip and made it REALLY sore. So I took it out and put the original ball in. Since then I've bought various rings and spikes to wear and I haven't had any problems. I just have to make sure I can find a bigger than normal bar or ring to put in. Oh, and when you get this done, it WILL pop the inner membrane on the inside of your lip and will feel like there's a 'crater' all the way around the inside plate. It will heal eventually AND it h elps make a little nest for the plate to rest in.

If you are in the same area as me, I suggest ATA because they were really clean for what it looks like in the front of their shop. And from what I hear most people get the standard size bar and ball for their jewelry when they get it pierced. These guys had larger than normal bars and balls so it didn't feel like it would fall out or slip through the lip.

Another thing to note about this piercing is that it gauges REALLY easy. If you play with your piercing alot, it may be a bad idea to get it. Before I trained myself to not play with the piercing I would sometimes feel saliva slip through the hole. And I'm 100% sure it wasn't any kind of puss or something.

My family likes the piercing, the ONLY person who really hasn't liked it has been my girlfriends' mom, and she now hates me because I have a piercing. She's a conservative southern parent and doesn't want her little baby girl having sex with big pierced me. Whatever :P

I do get alot of stares down here in the south, but I really don't care. I like to freak out the old and conservative. So if that's your thing I'd recommend this piercing, or any piercing really :P

Thanks for reading.
