Hi my name is Taryn, im 15 years old, and I live in Perth, WA. Im here to share the experience of me and my brand new piercing, my Madonna. It all started when me and my best friend Sian wanted to get a brand knew piercing. We had, had many before such as our ears, belly and tongue. It was time for something more on the facial area.

So it all happened one day after school last Friday, which is two days ago. After school I walked to Sian's house and her mum dropped us of at Whitfords Train Station. We then court the train to Perth and walked to Primal Urge which is quite close to the train station so it wasn't very far except for that I had already booked an appointment so we had to run.
When we got there, there was a very warm welcome. Sian and I usually tend to go in at least once a week to say hi to the piercer's because we know them quite well. Tanya was on the counter and asked us what we wanted pierced. Sian was getting her nose pierced and I was getting my nose and my madonna. So Tanya then handed us sheets to fill out about us and how to contact us. On the sheets it asked for our full names, our address, what we were allergic of and what we were getting pierced.
Tanya then showed us all the jewellery and told us that we had to decide what jewellery we were going to have. I decided that I wanted my left side of my nose pierced and the right side of my madonna with the same jewel in each. Sian then was told to go in to the room with another girl who was very nice and entered the room to get her nose pierced. So she did while I was still choosing my jewellery.
In the end I chose a light blue stone in a silver bar for both. So that at least they looked matching. What I liked about this piercing place was that it looked and smelled clean and you always had a warm welcome when you entered the shop. I think thats what made Sian and I come back in the first place.
Anyway after a while of talking to my piercer Tanya then showed me into the piercing room and told me to sit on the bed. I jumped up and I started to feel the butterfly's tumble in my tummy as I waited for Tanya to pierce me. She told me what she was doing and cleaned the spots where I was to be pierced. She then asked me to please look in the mirror and tell her what I thought. I liked them very much.
She then got the needle out and prepared to pierce me, she pierced my nose first and that hurt a little, just getting the needle through. Then it was time for my madonna. She told me what she was about to do and clamped my lip up. She then told me to breath deaply and as i breathed out she pierced it. Now I am going to tell you the truth it did hurt a little but all piercings do. But then she put the jewel in and tightened it and I looked in the mirror and the biggest smile came over my face. It looked fantastic and I was very happy with it. I could hear Sian yelling out 'Mine's done'. I then shouted back 'yes so is mine'.
I was so happy, Tanya then went over the cleaning information with me and told me how to take care of it. Then I walked out and saw Sian waiting in the waiting room. We then said goodbye and thankyou and then left. I found it a little hard to eat and drink but after a day I got used to it. Its not been three days since I got it pierced and It looks great, I have been cleaning it properly and making sure that I keep it clean. It feels very strange to eat and drink at first so I think that if any one is thinking of getting it done then please eat and drink before you go in and get it pierced.
If anyone is thinking of having it done but is to worried that it will hurt, I say go for it. Its a great experience and makes you feel so fantastic about yourself.
