I always thought this was an interesting piercing, and thought numerous times about getting it. Then finally, I got it.

I didn't know many people, who had it, So I couldn't really ask anyone about it. I have seen it on numerous people.

For some reason I got the feeling a scrumper piercing would be painful. It was far from it. From what I saw it looks like it would be a hard thing to get used to because of the location.

My friend Christina got it done a few weeks before I got mine. She told me it was really painless. It feels a bit weird for the first week, but it's all good. She told me it would be hard biting into things like subs, apples etc. (hehe I was soon to find out)

Well I went on a Thursday, during one of my breaks at school. Christina went with me. We went to Adrenaline; I go there for most of my piercings. Hugo was in. We chatted for a bit, and I told him I wanted to get my scrumper. He seemed all happy to do it. Heh. He told me to lift up my upper lip, so he can see how big the cbr had to be. He gave me a bigger diameter cbr so it would hang down nice, cause my web was a bit small. I mean what's the point of this piercing if you can't see it?

Well I waited for a bit so he could get set up. I was a bit nervous. Hehe like I am for every piercing. Christina assured me it would be all right.

He called me in. I took off my coat, and sat in the chair. I didn't feel as nervous as before. He gave me mouthwash to rinse my mouth. He told me what he was going to do. I had to hold up my lip with both hands. I did, then my hand slipped. My hand slipped a few times until I finally got it. He told me to keep breathing, and then he slipped in the needle. WOW I felt no pain. I was amazed. Then he slipped in the cbr. Ha here comes the problem part. He has to put in the bead. He took about 2 minutes to get it in. He put the chair back so I was lying down. He pulled the cbr a bit so it hurt then. Well finally he got it in. I got up and looked in the mirror. I was really happy with it. It felt really weird though. I was smiling like a lot.

He told me what to do for the aftercare, and he told me to come back in 2 weeks for a check up. heh, he really emphasized the no oral sex, and no wet kissing for two weeks. I paid and left with Christina.

I was eating with my parents and I was laughing at something really funny, and my mom was like "oh what's that in your mouth". I didn't know what she was talking about, I thought maybe she didn't see the large barbell I have in my tongue so I stuck out my tongue. She was like NO, that thing above your teeth. So I smiled for her and she was like "What the hell is that" my dad looked all confused. I was like it's a piercing. She said it was such an odd location for something to be pierced. My dad looked a bit mad, he was like oh no another piercing. When will you ever stop? Ha. Parents, they can be such a pain sometimes.

I have gotten some pretty interesting reactions from it. Mostly disgust. Like the typical "Ew what the hell is that in your mouth". Then I would get those "Wow, I never knew people could get that done". Ha, some people would look so amazed by it.

For the aftercare, I had to rinse after I ate about 8-10 times a day for about 2 weeks, with oral b. I went back for my check up. He checked it, and told me everything looked fine. When I am brushing my teeth it's a pain at times, because the toothbrush rubs up against the cbr and it moves all fast, and feels a bit uncomfortable. During the healing time, It was sore when I talked too much or smiled too much. I got used to it now, and there is no pain, it sometimes feels a bit uncomfortable.

Yea about the title, I wrote on my web page my pretty pretty smiley, hehe and Christina was laughing about that. Ah it's a weird inside joke.

Well otherwise, I'm really happy with it. I'm glad I finally got it done.
