What you are about to read is the result of an VERY unplanned and very untentional piercing. I had no idea that I would get this piercing and I didn't even realize that I until the moment that needle went through my skin that I had actually gotten the piercing.

Since it's a nice eight hour drive I wanted to get my car checked out and make sure everything was in order with it. I knew something was wrong with because the wheels were whobbley and the car oil needed to be changed. So I made an appointment and took it in to get looked at.
While I was waiting for everything to be looked at I wondered down the strip of shops, and discovered that they had a variety of shops. One being a Tattoo and piercing shop and another being a XXX shop. I wanted to hit both of them up, but deicded to go into the tattoo shop first because I have been contemplating another tattoo for awhile but haven't had the money and finally wanted to get a price set.
When I went in there the artist was tattooing someone who had just sat down. She was doing a yellow moon with purple clouds, a simple but ugly tattoo I thought to myself. So I browsed the tattoos they had, and discovered the two I thought were pretty unique that I had already had. So I got prices for the two I had to get more added to, and then prices for the few I was thinking of getting.
Then I realized they did piercings there, something that had totally slipped my mind. So I began to inquire about their piercing prices. I first asked about the labret, and she said $60 bucks, and then I asked about the eyebrow and she said $50. The lady in the chair wanted to know what the labret was, and though this time last year I wouldn't have known what a labret was, I wanted to laugh at her.
So I looked around somemore while she finished up tattooing the lady and decided alright, either I'm going to get my nipple pierced right now or my labret, which is it? Now bearing in the very BACK of my mind that the eyebrow is the ONLY pericing my parents EVER approved of me having, I decided to go with the labret. So I signed the forum, and showed her my license.
I really liked how she demonstarted exactly what she was going to be doing to me before she actually did it and then her appertince was watching throughly and attentively as she had me rinse my mouth with listerine. She wanted to make sure I understand that each needle they use on their customers weather its for tattoos or piercings they throw away and destroy and that it really pisses her off because needles companys can't keep up with the demand for needles, apprently they make less needles then they actually need, meaning, to her, that dirty ones are getting used. UGH!
So then she sawbed me up with a q-tip using Bedaine and antibacterial stuff. And then she wanted to know what gauge I wanted 16 or 14, she told me 14 was pretty standered and that I should go with that. So, I did. Then she went through a process of making two purple marks to center where I wanted the ring perfectly. Good stuff. Then honestly, I felt some pain. It was the needle going from the outside of my skin to the inner of my mouth. I heard some breaking of skin, and then I let out a breath. It wasn't bad at all.
It hurt more then I thought it would, but it also looks better then I thought it would. It cost 60 dollars including jewlery and it seems to be fine. But because of where the ring is, every now and then the ball falls off and its hard to screw on tightly because the barbell and ball twist together. I would like to eventually get a centered lip ring above it and link the two togeter. I think that would look really good.
I would suggest thinking through your piercing if someone wants to get it done or any peicing or tattoo for that matter. But don't hestitate to contact me if you have questions at all.
