This is an update of my eyebrow piercing, which will be 9 months old in 8 days. You can find the story of when I first got it pierced here:

I got it pierced in Raven which I highly recommended until I got my tragus pierced there (which I have since retired-but it will be back! R.I.P.). The story of that can be found here:

Over the last few months, having my eyebrow pierced has definitely been a worth wile experience. Its been hard but now I am the proud owner of a very happy eyebrow piercing. In my school, body jewelery (including retainers) are banned.
When my eyebrow piercing was 2 months old (that's when my school started again) I changed it back and forth every single day between my eyebrow bar and a plastic retainer until it was about 4 months old. I would have kept the retainer in all week but it annoyed my eyebrow a lot and caused it to bleed and lymph like crazy. At this stage, I realised that it was still a very long way from being fully healed. I worked out that this was from the constant jewelery changes.
I got an eyebrow bar and filed down both ends with a nail file. Then I painted one end with skin colored nail varnish. The other end was covered with the hair of my eyebrow. I thought this was a very good idea but over time, as my eyebrow piercing loosened up, it fell out a lot. But it still helped my eyebrow heal a lot. I did this until it was about 7 months old. I do not recommend that you do this!
Then I heard of bioplast. I also heard that it speeds up the healing of piercing, especially cartilage piercings and it works as a very good retainer so I thought id give it a try. I went to my local body jewelery shop and purchased two bioplast barbells. One had o-rings, this was the retainer and the other had silver balls as ends, this was for when I was not using my retainer. I thought that I better stick to the same material of jewelery in case my eyebrow got pissy at me.
It worked a charm! My eyebrow finally felt healed after about a month of wearing bioplast and it was so invisible! I also did not have to worry about it falling out all the time because the o-rings were very small and clear.
Now, at nearly 9 months, I can say that my eyebrow piercing is finally healed. I still give it one sea salt soak once a week to give it a good clean. I am very lucky because most people said that it would migrate out straight away because I am still growing and because of all the irritation I caused it and it has not migrated at all and is still as deep as the day I got it done. You cant see any of the 1.2mmx8 curved barbell.
Since the day I got my eyebrow pierced, I literally never slept on it in case it got infected or migrated. This was hard and very annoying at first but now it has become second nature to me. I am very paranoid about my eyebrow piercing migrating. I know it will eventually bit I may as well keep it as long as possible!
My eyebrow has also gotten me a lot more attention in school, I have made way more friends and it is a great conversation starter.
I always get asked "did it hurt?", this does not bother me at all. I get asked at least once a day. I got asked my friend's friend this morning and my other friend's girlfriend last night!
Eyebrow piercing are very common. This bothers me sometimes especially when some one in my school gets one!
It has also made me look older - a very good advantage!
I really recommend an eyebrow piercing, especially as a first piercing. they can be hard to care for but definitely worth it. I would go through it all again if I had to. But if you are getting one, and your school does not allow piercing, definitely get it done as soon as possible in the summer holidays.
I really recommend bioplast as a retainer or if your piercing is taking a long time to heal. I hope this was helpful to you. My next piercing is a vertical labret, which I will be getting on the 1 June, the day I get the summer holidays!!
Here's a quick summery of all the months:
