I'll try and keep this short and simple.

I looked around on websites, and got the opinions of others, and thought yep...this is the one.
I had done a bit of research, regarding the place I actually wanted to get pierced. I popped in and visited their studio. It was bright, clean and the staff seemed very friendly. Unfortunately they weren't available to pierce me till a later date.
This was a bit of a mistake, on my behalf, but I jumped the gun and just went to a little shop a lot closer to my home. Oh the woes of being an eager teenager. Yes, I should have just waited till I could get pierced by who I wanted...but noooo. I had to have it then and there!
I was a little bit cautious of the new place actually, you might even say it was a last resort. I hadn't heard anything bad about it, but at the same time I hadn't know anyone to get a piercing or tattoo there. I decided to pop my head in the door anyway, purely because it was a lot closer to my home, and I new they would probably be able to fit me in with a appointment that day.
When I got there, they were play Marilyn Manson." What have I done?" I thought. I should have listened to my instinct and walked straight out the door, but something made me sit down and wait for the piercer.
It was a small place, but comfortable enough, and when I was finally in the little room we went through the normal procedures, marking the place and all the rest. I was a little nervous, and shaky too, but he assured me that this would hurt less than my nostril piercing. He was right. It hurt a surprisingly lot less. After I was a bit more relaxed I felt that I could carry on normal conversation whilst the needle was inside and the jewelry was being inserted. It was a bit of an uncomfortable feeling, but at the same time it was almost pleasant and relatively painless.
Here comes the uncool part; the piecing was just not how I wanted. It was extremely shallow, and one might even say lop-sided. After the piercing was completed, I asked for a bit of information about aftercare and downsizing. He told me that things should be fine if I washed the piercing in warm salty water for about a month, and that they have free downsizing. I was hoping for a pamphlet or something with a bit more information, but with saying that, I followed his instructions and had no problem with healing of infections. Initially I was very excited about having this piercing, but I was unimpressed with the result. When I showed my parents they mentioned they thought it looked higher on one side, and this pissed me off, to say the least. I even tried pushing it in the right direction, to make it sit that way. Obviously this wasn't going to work, and would also interfere with the healing process. I thought to myself I would just wait a few weeks and then change the bar to a ring, to disguise the fact that it wasn't sitting as well as it should.
I tried to convince myself that it looked fine, but it was irking me, and it eventuated in me taking it out after about a month or so. I'm not 100% sure what went wrong, the dots looked straight when they were drawn on. But hey, that's just how the cookie crumbles I guess. I often think about going somewhere else and getting the same piercing re-done. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about the same thing happening.
Scaring is minimal, but still noticeable. Doesn't help that I have no eyebrows.
I'm not going to say that this is a bad piercing place or anything of the sort. The place was clean, and the people were warm. While no one I know uses goes there for their body mods, there are always a lot of people coming in and out. I have also seen some very radical tattoo work come from there. What more can I say? The bridge piercing looks great in my opinion, is one of my favorites, and obviously a reputable piercer who can preferably mark straight dots is going to be the person to go to.
I can't help but thinking if I had of waited that extra day or two, and went to the place I wanted, things might have gone down the right path. Who knows.
