About two months ago my mom, sister, and I went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. Well, one of our waitresses had an eyebrow piercing and ever since than i wanted one. My mom was so supportive and kept telling me I should get it done and that it would look so good on me.

For a couple of weeks I took time to research all the precautions that go along with the piercing (I also looked through a lot of the pictures and articles on this site). So finally a month after my first encounter with the waitress, I was set.

I called up to my piercer on the 16th of March and made sure a piercer was gonna be there on the 17th, he was!!

I remember how jittery I was on the 17th, and it wasn't from nervousness, it was from excitement. School just dragged by so slow that day, but when it was finally out my boyfriend and I drove to Greenville to meet my mom at the studio, which is a very clean studio and the piercers there are so friendly.

When we finally got there I started to get the butterflies in my stomach. I had to admit I was kind of getting nervous. There wasn't a line or anything so my mom and I just had to sign some papers and wait for the piercer, Gary, to get his things ready. While he was getting his things ready I walked around and looked at all the tattoos they had posted in their racks and on the walls.

A few minutes, or so it seemed, had passed and Gary told me to come on in the room, he made my mom come in the room also because I am just 16, and he told me to sit on the chair. By that time i had started shaking because I just wanted to go ahead and get it over with so i could see how it looked. He put a little dot on my eyebrow and then placed the clamps on. Then he laid the chair all the way back, which by the way made me nervous because I hate laying down when people put needles in me. At the time Gary was training another piercer, so I felt like a test animal or something (laughs, just kidding). He told me to take a deep breathe and breathe out, and then he shoved the needle through. It didn't even hurt. I was so surprised. The only thing that that really hurt was when my mom started squeezing "my" hand. It did kind of hurt when he put pressure on the piercing to stop the bleeding, and it did bleed a lot, but don't worry about bleeding if you're thinking of getting yours done because not everybody bleeds and it's totally normal if you do. Gary also told me, after he pierced it, that I had a good eyebrow to pierce because they are very plump.

Well, right after he pierced my eyebrow it started to swell and bleed, but he told me that was normal. My mom, on the other hand, started turning pale and almost passed out because of the blood. Gary had to tell her that her that there was a seat behind her in case she started to get pale and shaky. I was in and out of there in like 5-10 minutes.

I've had my piercing for a little over a month now and I love it. All i have to say is that if you want it pierced you should go ahead because it looks so good. The only thing I am thinking about now is what piercing I want next. There is so many to choose from. I could get a tattoo??

Although now I am suspended from school (I am in 10th grade and 16 years old by the way) and will remain suspended until I take the ring out. However my mom and I are fighting it because we both feel it is my right to have it done. I already have an article in our local newspaper, and am soon to be on the radio, and I am hoping that this will be on the internet so people can see how discriminating my school is against piercings and things like that. This suspension is also a part of my experience in my eyebrow piercing. We have just 4 weeks left of school and I just got suspended 1 day ago. My e-mail address will be posted to anyone who sees this so please if you see this write to me letting me know how you feel about the subject. Thank you so much and I can just hope that Bmezine will help me out and post this on their site.
