I started getting into piercings when i was about 12 years old and obsessed with blink 182. Tom DeLonge had his lip pierced, and I wanted it too. I begged my mom for the longest time to get my lip pierced and she said it was ugly and distracting. When my best friend who was younger than me got her eyebrow pierced I complained even more and so we compromised. My mom said I could get my eyebrow or my nostril pierced when I was 13. I believed at the time that nostril piercings were ugly. So I decided to get my eyebrow pierced.

So my thirteenth birthday came and my mom phoned Guillame in Port Hardy who was a friend of my friends mom. He was also a piercer. His shop had closed down and he was now piercing in his home. I think it was the weekend at the time and he said to come by tuesday afternoon. I was waiting for my first actual piercing and it took so long. I was scared and excited.

During Tuesday at school all my friends with their belly buttons pierced were telling me about how much it was going to hurt. That kind of scared me and they were making me nervous. Then during foods my dad came and picked me up. I was so excited! The drive seemed to take forever even though it was only twenty minutes or so. When we got into Port Hardy we drove into a trailer park. I knew it was in a trailer park, but when we got there I felt different about it. I sat in the truck while my dad had a smoke with Guillame. I was scared. I saw a couple girls come out of the trailer they had just had their belly buttons pierced and one girl had gotten her lip.

Then Guillame came up to the truck and said "Don't you want your eyebrow pierced?" So i got out of the truck, I was really shy back then so I stayed close to my dad. Guillame told me to sit in a chair in his living room. There was a french television program playing and his girlfriend Caroline was preparing for the piercing. She went down the hall and into a room, she came out and asked "Do you want a spike,a regular barbell or a dolphin?" I was like what a dolphin???? so me being shy indecisive me said "Uh a spike...I guess..." She laughed and said "I had a feeling you'd want the spike...and your lucky because this is the last one."

Guillame sat down and started cleaning or my eyebrow area and said "Have you ever had any other piercings besides your ears?" I said "No..." then he said "Well this is a lot different from getting your ears pierced, it will hurt a little bit." Then he asked me how old I was and i said "Thirteen." He looked shocked and said "I can't pierce you your way too young!" That upset me and i said "But my friend...she just got here eyebrow done and she is younger than me.."

He laughed and told me he was just joking. Then he asked if I wanted it on a slant or straight up. Him and Caroline decided that if he pierced it straight my face would look crooked so he pierced it on a slant. He took a needle out of a package and Caroline came over and clamped my eyebrow. I was told that the clamp would hurt the most. It did. He pierced my eyebrow I remember closing my eyes really tight, and not opening them until i was told to. It didn't hurt as much as I expected. He did some other stuff to get the barbell in I wasn't paying attention I was so excited. I think he put thread on it for some strange reason. Then he got Caroline to screw on the spike because his fingers were too big. They got me something to drink and Caroline went through the aftercare with me while my dad was talking to Guillame about covering up a tattoo of his. When she was done explaining I swear I had to drag my dad out of there. My dad talks too much.

I had some money with me from my birthday and since there are no clothing stores where I live i decided to go buy a new outfit. I forgot where we went but anyways I found this shirt that I really like with a chain on it and it was mesh, I went into the dressing room to try it on and the chain pulley on my eyebrow and it got stuck in the mesh. My eyebrow started to bleed! I was so scared. Though that shirt hurt my eyebrow i still bought it and a pair of pants right away.

Me and my dad got back in the truck and drove straight back to Guillames. Caroline answered the door, she saw my eyebrow and said "Let me put on my pants...I am exercising." So we went inside and she cleaned it off, she said it should be okay and warned me to be more careful.

Then we drove back to Port Mcneill got on the ferry and when we got off the ferry my two best friends were there. I got out of the truck and went to show off my new piercing. I was so happy.

I took care of my eyebrow. I washed it twice a day with antibacterial sop which my dad accidently used as shampoo once. I also used an ointment that Guillame provided me with. I loved my eyebrow very much. But I made the mistake of constantly playing with it and changing the jewelery too much. I didn't change the jewelry until it was healed but I was stupid about changing jewelry. I expected it to be like the ear lobes once its pierced its pierced. I left it out for a day and it practically grew over. But i then stupidly re-pierced it with a sewing needle...I still couldn't get the barbell in. So we went to my moms friend who had her eyebrow pierced twice at the time and she got it through. They gave me some kind of antiseptic and my eyebrow then started to slowly reject. I left it in until it fully rejected. I am now left with a big huge scar but I'm okay with it.

I recommend this piercing because it is simple and painless. Just don't be stupid like me and play around with your piercing or changing it too often it you could irritate your piercing. I also recommend Guillame as a piercer. I am not sure if he is still piercing because he does tattoos as well. He now works at Nexus in Campbell River.

After my eyebrow rejected I went out and got my other eyebrow pierced. This one has lasted a lot longer because I don't play with it or over change my jewelry. I also have the same spike in it as i did when i got my first eyebrow done.
