I have loved piercings since I was about eleven or twelve. I had pierced myself two times because I was an idiot. I then got my labret professionally done and I loved it, but I wanted something else I thought about getting my labret done again but I wasn't sure. One night my brother was over my mom asked him if he'd go with us to get my labret pierced again he said,"Your labret again?" I said, "Yeah." He asked why, I just looked at him and shook my head. He said, "Well in my opinion, I think it'd throw you off somehow, so why don't you get your bridge done instead? I think it'd look great on you and it'd look really good with your labret." I sat there for a second thinking about what he had said. About an hour later I finally decided I wanted it done, I told my brother and he was happy about it.

I got yelled at by my dad the night before because he didn't want me to get it done. I explained to him he couldn't stop me because my mom was cool with it so she'd sign the form. Me, my brother, Richard, and my mom walked into the shop where I had got my labret done. My piercer was at the counter I said I'd like my bridge pierced please he said alright let me see your ID. I pulled out my ID, he let me and my mom sign a form and he told me we were good to go. I went back into the room,I tried not to be nervous about it but I was very tense and Eric could tell. He told me to relax and take a few deep breaths so I could prepare for him to mark my bridge. I finally quite being so tense I started to relax and he started marking my bridge, which it took him a good 10 minutes to do so he said, "this piercing is pretty hard to get straight so it's going to take a while." He finally finished with the marking he asked one of the other guys in there if it looked straight he said, "Yes." I was ready he sized the barbell to make sure it was going to fit my bridge correctly, after he found the right size he took the needle out of the packet and we were ready. He clamped my bridge, I closed my eyes and he stuck the needle through. I felt a big pinch and then we were done. I then sat up he let me look at it and I told him it looked perfect. He then took a few pictures of it and he told me I'd probably see it in his book. He gave me my aftercare sheet and I was good to go.
After we were done we went to Wal-mart. I noticed a lot of people staring. Three girls were walking past me and they said, "Wow she has awesome piercings." I just smiled at them and shook my head as I looked at Wal-mart's body jewelry.
We finally came home my sister said, "Did that hurt?" I said, "Not too bad." I then called my next door neighbor,Will, and he decided to come over to see it.He also brought his friend Robert and my friend Lakyn. They asked if it hurt I told them just a huge pinch. That night it bled a good amount. I was surprised that it didn't swell just a little bruising but no swelling. It was also really sore and it'd hurt when I'd lift my eyebrows. Every time I'd go to the bathroom I'd admire it in the mirror.
I really love my bridge piercing. I've had it for about a month now and I've gotten a lot of compliments about it especially from all of my guy friends that live around here. They always say, "That's an awesome piercing." I do, however, always get asked if it hurt.I always shake my head and say, "No, not too bad." It didn't hurt as bad as my labret, I expected it to hurt really bad. I have accidently scratched it about two times, but I'm pretty aware I have it now. Anybody considering getting their bridge done I say go for it. It's a very great piercing to have and it sets you aside from most people considering it isn't all that popular. I've only seen about two other people with their's done. The aftercare is pretty easy, I just hate the crusty stuff even though it does indicate it's healing. So if you want your bridge done, go get it done, you won't regret it, I promise. You'll fall in love with it the minute it gets pierced. This is my story of getting a great piercing that I really love. If you have any questions about a bridge piercing just e-mail me I'll be glad to answer. :)
