I've wanted my eyebrow pierced since I was 12, so almost 4 years. And my parents said if I pass all my courses last semester, I can get it done. So the day that I found out I passed all my courses I went down to the studio to get it done.
At A Glance Author anonymous When It just happened Artist Diann Studio Art Addictions Location Brampton, Ontario At about 5:30 me, my mom picked up my friends Tasha and Mike. There was traffic and we got lost cause of the dumb signs, so we finally got there at around 6:30. I was already on the list because I had called earlier. One guy had me and my mom show id and sign some papers. After that I had to wait for a couple girls to get their belly buttons pierced before I could go in. So they left and I got called up. I picked out what I wanted, a plain silver captive bead ring. I paid 50$ for the piercing and the ring, then Diann brought me, Mike and Tasha to the back.
She got me to sit in the dentist chair. She explained what she was going to do but I already knew from hours of research on bmezine.com. She asked which eyebrow I wanted done, and I said my left. So she drew 2 dots on my eyebrow, the insert and exit points for the needle, and asked if they're ok. I liked them so I said yes. After that she had to check for nerves in my eyebrow. She pinched my eyebrow a couple times and said to tell her if I feel any tingly or shock feeling in my face. And I didn't so I was good. Then she checked for veins. She felt my eyebrow for a pulse, but there wasn't one. I was good to go.
She cleaned my eyebrow with some brown stuff first, and then she took out the clamp, and put it on my eyebrow. That was fine. Then she told me to close my eyes. She said she's putting the needle on the bottom dot. She said take a breath and she put it through. It hurt because it didn't go right through. It pushed my eyebrow up then went through. It started stinging a lot after that, and she slid out the needle and put in the ring. Then it took like 5 min because I was bleeding so much, so she was sitting there talking to us for 5 minutes while she waited for me to stop bleeding. But it took too long, so she put in the bead while I was bleeding. For some reason that was the most painful part of the whole thing. She said I need to relax. She also said she's never seen someone's heart beat so fast and hard, u could see it through my shirt. That's why I was bleeding so much, because my heart is pumping all that blood. So my heart rate went down and I finally stopped bleeding. So I got to see it and it was sweet. I put on my hat and glasses and I was done.
It stung for a couple hours afterwards, but it stopped. I can't even feel it now. But I can see it if I look up. I cleaned it for the first time and it bled a bit more and stung, but it's all good. I have to put on some bactine, and then move the ring back and forth to get it inside the hole. So I did that and it feels pretty cool.
All my friends that have seen it think it looks good. I love it! Every time I walk past a mirror I go look at it. All that waiting and pain was worth it. My friends can't wait to see it at school. I've been talking about getting my eyebrow pierced for 4 years and now I have it.
I've had it for over a week now and I've been cleaning it 2 times a day like Diann said to and it seems to be going good. I'm used to it now.
I recommend Art Addictions to anyone that is in the Brampton area. They are very clean and Diann explains everything she is doing in detail. She made me feel really comfortable and relaxed. In all the experiences I have read, I never heard about the piercer checking for nerves and veins. So that makes me feel good that she knows what she's doing. After every time she pierces somebody she takes the needle and bends it in half with pliers and puts it in the disposal. They are very clean. Since then I've convinced 2 of my friends to go to Art Addictions to get their piercing done.
If you want your eyebrow pierced, do it! It's worth everything.
