I have never really been a keen fan of body art until recently. I got my first piercing on upper ear when I was on summer holidays and just added a normal silver barbell to it which shows how much I haven't studied body art as of yet. Later on I was looking to get my eyebrow pierced, which I felt like doing completely spontaneously.
At A Glance Author Slave To The Dark Contact Slave To The Dark@bme.anon When N/A Artist Marios Studio Station Location Cyprus, Nicosia I called my friend and asked him on which was the best place to go for it and she replied to me by saying station. I went in there and it looked like a really neat place to be for a piercing and the guys there seemed to be fun and talkative.
I asked Marios if it was going to hurt as it was going to be my first needle piercing and I only had a pistol gun piercing before and he said your going to feel a little pinch and that's it. He joked afterwards and said that at extreme cases people die from it. He was not convincing enough though.
He wore his gloves got the needle the jewellery and you could see that all were new and never used before he told me to sit at the bed or if I want to lie on it so he could pierce me. I closed my eyes in fear and he told me that I should not be afraid of it and it really only is a pinch. I wasn't that afraid but I was anxious to see how it would come out. He passed the needle through my eyebrow and it actually was amusing to me how I could see a needle right in front of my eye. He put the jewellery in and I didn't even feel a thing it was really painless. I wasn't crying but instead my eyes got filled with water because of the needle entering. I didn't even realize he was done. The jewellery he put in was just the smallest bar with silver spikes. It still looked worth it though.
After the piercing he gave me a leaflet and the instructions on how to make it heal. He said I should put a drop of Bedaden on each hole 3 times a day for 2 weeks and then I could change the piercing too. I browsed through the extensively large collection of eyebrow jewellery and found nothing I particularly liked that day and thought I would come back when it was time to buy a new jewel for eyebrow.
That night I didn't go home and didn't use disinfectant on it but went clubbing straight. The club was packed and therefore I kept on bumping to people all the time. It hurt my eyebrow and I felt it swell. When I went home I went straight to bed and it kept catching onto the pillow as I sleep facing the pillow.
Next day it was really swollen and my parents noticed it first. I started putting the disinfectant on it regularly and in maximum 3 days it went back to its regular size. I kept putting disinfectant for it for 4 days more and then I just left it there.
The principal at my school asked me to take it off immediately and I went to the toilet to do so. Right after going back to class I felt it swelling and at the same time closing. My friend confirmed it and I went straight back to the toilet and put it back in.
I went and bought some fishing bait to put in it the afternoon so the principal couldn't see it and it seriously got infected this time. Also I bought two spiral spikes for my bar. I started putting disinfectant on it again for some time and just putting the surgical steel bar in to school and covering the eyebrow piercing with my hair. Until the principal realized that I was wearing it again and persuade me with his own nasty ways not to wear it again the piercing had healed and would never close as easy as the 7 school hours are. Now I can just wear it at midday or at night or even after 2 days or 4 days and it wont close up on me.
It has healed perfectly as I can now spin it around. I got hit too and I can't feel anything where my eyebrow is anymore. It hasn't given me a problem for two months even if I do a lot of stupid things all the time. I banged myself on wall once with a friend to see whose would get swollen and only his did.
The experience was completely painless and the infection was only because it was forbidden in school. If it weren't for the principal it would have healed perfectly without any problem. If you are thinking of doing it I am certain it's one of the easiest piercing to heal and one of the most fancy and noticeable if the correct jewellery are picked. When it heals you have absolutely nothing to worry about except some extreme cases. If a fight occurs just take it off and put it back on afterwards. The first jewellery I would recommend to be a bar with little silver balls as it is really hard for it to get caught anywhere.
Currently im getting a second eyebrow piercing so I can have more slots of open jewellery. The second eyebrow piercing will be my 6th piercing in 6 months.
