I have wanted my eyebrow pierced for just over a year now but our school does not allow facial piercing so the only way I could get it pierced was to wait until Christmas school holidays so it would heal enough to use nylon plugs during school. (Go to this website if u wants information on nylon plugs: http://www.pierceoff.com.au/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductId=392

It's easier than fishing line)

Well it wasn't that easy to get it done. Although in Australia the legal age or body piercing without parental consent is 16. My mum and dad made me an offer that the only way I can get it is if I work hard and do very well in school and my school certificate. I did very well in my school certificate but my mum was not happy enough as I did not work very hard towards it, that's what she says she is against body piercing and tattoos.

I was told the only way I could get it these holidays is by her having absolutely nothing to do with it and if dad takes me then she can't do anything about it. Sweet.

so this morning my dad let me drive the 45 minutes to Byron Bay, I made sure I didn't forget breakfast I had spaghetti on toast. It was only about 9.30 and the studio opened at 10 so we had a look around the place for half an hour and then just walked in it was a quiet shop with a few guys covered in tats just talking. It had a great atmosphere.

I was a little nervous in the morning I had butterflies in my stomach I was alright the last few days I was real excited but when I woke up the nerves just hit me. I was having all these weird dreams last night about my dad putting off letting me get my piercing for all these lame reasons. That wasn't going to stop me I was already there

There are two parts to the shop, creative tattoo art and creative body piercing. I was looking at the jewellery when Anita came out from a back room and asked politely how she could help. I told her I wanted my eyebrow pierced, I signed the consent form and chose a small 16g blue titanium curved barbell and I walked through into the back room which looked just like a doctor's surgery she told me to lay on the doctor's chair while she washed her hands.

I had wanted my left eyebrow pierced this whole year but recently decided that my right eyebrow would be better as most people get there left eyebrow pierced and I also had a mole on my left eyebrow so my right would suit me better.

She talked me through the whole procedure and she was very gentle she marked my brow with a pen or something and asked me if it was right. I said yes then she put the clamp on and told me that would feel just like a little pinch then she told me she was going to put the needle through it would only take a second and will only just sting a little.

I have read all the experiences on eyebrows some saying it hurt like hell and didn't hurt at all. I have always though I have very high pain tolerance after having my ingrown toenails cut out. so I would never say it didn't hurt because it did not extreme or nothing just a slight sting like Anita said for a couple of seconds it was very bearable she then put the barbell in which just felt like she was playing with it. My eyebrow was bleeding constantly but not a lot so she was there putting paper towel after paper towel on my eyebrow until it stoped

I looked in the mirror it was perfect she told me about the aftercare and gave me a card with everything on it. My dad payed her earlier everyone left with smiles, we waved good bye and I got to drive home again.

right now there is no pain its about 4 hours since it all happened I cant even feel the barbell is there it sits so comfortably no bruising no redness, I will just have to see in the morning. It's a great experience getting your eyebrow pierced. to those who are a little scared of it hurting it is totally bearable it is one of the least painful piercings and suits just about everyone

it was a lot of fun Anybody wanting a piercing or tattoo go to creative tattoo art or creative body piercing in Byron Bay its clean has a very wide variety of jewellery and flash and has a great atmosphere with great people. It was recommended to me by a few people and I recommend it to anyone interested
