I started the obsession of piercing about 6 months ago, after a lengthy trial with my parents over them bringing me to get my eyebrow pierced. Originally it was supposed to be my nose, but after careful consideration I decided I liked my eyebrow better. I probably would've done it myself if I hadn't told my dad that, and somehow I think it was that statement that led him to the final decision that it would be ok If he just let me get one piercing.

Eventually I came to the conclusion that I would just go through the phone book and find the web site to any piercing places I might like. Then I would check if I liked the look of the place on the site we'd just go there...after a few pretty screwed up looking places I stumbled onto the brother-E's website and decided on there because it looked clean and the pictures of their work looked pretty flawless.
It actually took 2 trys to get it done, the first time we drove the whole 45 minutes to brother-E's then after filling out half the form they asked me if I had proof or identification. I didn't so they told me I couldn't do it, needless to say I was pissed off. So me and my dad just drove home. After being posponed till about a week later I finally found my school I.D. and we planned to go back. The only problem this time was the getting there because about 20 minutes before we planned to leave it started to storm, by this time I was extremely anxious and pretty scared just because I'm a whimp about the whole tornado warning thing, so I called 2 friends and asked If they would come with me to get pierced, they said yes so we went and picked them up and started our 45 minute journey to brother-E's.
After the car ride in which my dad surprisingly let me smoke a cigarette (I'm allowed to but not usually around him) we finally got there, this time with an I.D. so I walked in with my dad and 2 friends Jamie and Rachel. Armed with a disposable camera we got the attention of someone who worked there and began filling out the paperwork, or at lest my dad did because I was more interested in watching another girl get a tattoo in the next room.finally after the I.D. checking a jewelry picking it was time. My piercer (Janelle) came out and told me to come back. I expected Jamie, Rachel and my dad to come back but I guess it wasn't interesting enough for my dad to watch his only daughter get poked. So just me Jamie and Rachel went back.
When we went into the room it was really sterile; all the piercing equipment was sitting on a tray next to an adjustable chair which I found pretty amusing while Janelle was getting everything ready. Finally she came over with a paper towel covered in rubbing alcohol and wiped off my eye. Then she marked me and asked if it was right, I said yes so she re wiped my eyebrow off and then put a rubber band around some clamps and asked if I wanted to hold them myself. I was calm during this whole thing, but figured if it was gonna get screwed up during the piercing id rather be able to blame Rachel so she held the clamps. Then I closed my eyes and Janelle came over with the needle and a piece of cork. I was pretty oblivious to everything going on around me and just concentrated on breathing. Then it was over. It honesty didn't hurt a bit, the only uncomfortable part during the whole process was when she put in the jewelry because the ring had to be reshaped while in my face. So I was done, not bleeding, and had a camera full of pictures that ended up being pretty amusing because I made some pretty dumb faces during the whole process.
That night I ended up drinking with friends which might be the reason it swelled up a little the next morning (I probably just bumped it a few times) but nothing majorly bad happened. Not even during the healing process. I used bactryn twice a day after I washed and turned my ring once a day. Then had warm clothed on my eyebrow 10 minutes a day for 2 weeks. After 5 weeks I got my jewelry changed and now I'm completely happy with my beautiful piercing, next weekend I'm getting my lip pierced so I'm excited. Oh and id recommend brother-E's to anyone because it affordable, clean, and the people are friendly.
