After I wrote my first story about my self done navel I got a couple emails about how I was crazy, but I finally get to write a story and redeem myself. Yesterday, which was November 16th, I got my report card in the mail. My mother and I had made a deal that if I got good grades she would let me get pierced...if we could find a place that would do it since I am not 16.

We walked in and we were greeted right away which was comforting. My mom told him that I wanted either my eyebrow or my nose pierced but I wasn't sure which one yet. I asked him which piercing hurt worse and he told me that they were about equal in pain....and then he told me that the tongue was the least painful piercing, but I knew I could NEVER talk my mom into that one. So I decided to go with an eyebrow piercing, and to my surprise my mom said maybe she'd get one too if mine turned out. So we picked out our jewelry, and we were all ready to go....but then came time to fill out the papers.
I was so excited because I thought I would get pierced, but it didn't go through. When the worker took out the papers and told us I had to be 16 and have some sort of ID with my birthdate on it I was crushed. I wanted my piercing so bad, so there was no way I was giving up. Then I thought for a while about what I could do, and I remembered that my friend worked in a piercing place and just MAYBE he would hook me up.
So my mom drove me to a different piercing place and to my luck I saw his car outside. We went inside, and sure enough he was working. My mom asked him if there was anyway he could pierce me even though I was 14 and he said just for me he'd let it slide! I was so excited. I asked him again, just to make sure, about the pain factor. He said that the nose would hurt more and that I didn't have the right shape for it, so that was when I knew that my eyebrow was gonna be the lucky body part to get pierced.
My mom and I picked out our jewelry. Then we were taken to a back room which was EXTREMELY clean and sterile. That definitely made me more comfortable. After about 5 minutes, it was time to get pierced. I thought it was so cool that my mom was actually going to get one too. I decided I wanted to go first, because I knew that if I watched my mom I probably wouldn't do it.
The piercer cleaned my left eyebrow with some kind of solution and then he marked the spots where he was going to pierce. I okayed them and then he clamped my eyebrow and told me to shut my eyes and not to open them until he told me he could. I was preparing myself for the worst, and then he told me I'd feel a little pinch and the needle was through in . 5 second. Painless. I kept my eyes closed while he worked the barbell through and then I was already done! I looked in the mirror and I absolutely loved it.
My mom must not be as tolerant of pain as I am, because she thought it hurt and she got a little teary eyed, but then again, she isn't really the type to just go and get pierced. But yeah, her ring does look pretty cool.
Afterwards my piercing was swollen pretty badly and it was tender to touch, but the next morning it was looking GREAT and I love it. My new piercing is beautiful, and I plan on getting an industrial in a couple of weeks. When people say piercings are addicting they really do mean it.
A lot of people thought it looked good, and then again some people told me getting an eyebrow piercing was one of the ugliest things in the world. I really don't care, because I like it and that's all that matters. The aftercare is pretty easy, my piercer told me to just clean it up with Dial foam soap, but NOT to use rubbing alcohol or peroxide. So far, my piercing is healthy and it isn't rejecting yet. Hopefully I can keep it forever. Also, I can't wait to get it changed in 4 weeks. I'm not sure, but I plan on stretching it a little bit. All I can say, is that if you want your eyebrow pierced you should go for it, because it's worth the $40.00.
