I'm writing my story here because BMEzine is the whole reason I got the courage to go get this piercing done and I probably wouldn't have done it without reading all of the other stories posted.

I decided to go with eyebrow first because of everything I've read on this site and how everyone kept saying it was really painless. Plus I liked how it looked. This is only my third piercing, I got my navel pierced about three years ago [so much pain!!] and my ears pierced of course. And I was trying to find something that wouldn't look weird if it was the only facial piercing I had, soooo I settled on the eyebrow.
I don't know why it took me so long to do it, I guess just nerves and still deciding if it was what I REALLY wanted to do. But honestly, after I decided that I did want to do it I had this squirmy nervous feeling in my stomach 24/7 that I knew wouldn't go away until I actually went through with the piercing.
So I decided that I was going to go down on Monday (two days ago) to this place called Perfect Image in London Ontario because it's close by and I've heard nothing but good reviews of the people there. [I previously got my navel pierced at Lucky Devil and decided to try somewhere new this time]. So I got home from class and called the studio to see what it would cost me and if I needed to make an appointment. The guy was kinda unfriendly on the phone, but he told me it was $55 for a ring and $65 for a barbell [which is really expensive I know. My friend got his done for $40 somewhere. However, I decided to go for it anyway just because I really wanted it done and I had gave myself an approximate $70 price limit]. And the guy told me I didn't need an appointment to go in. So when my housemate came home we went over to Perfect Image. The place impressed me immediately, I love the set up. They were playing awesome music and everything was really clean and organized. I walked up to the guys at the desk [who, ladies, were extremely good looking. Which is *always* a bonus]. After I told the guy what I wanted he immediately started marketing these cleaning Qtip thingies to me, and so I caved and bought those (what the hell, eh?) and almost died when he told me the total was something around $90. Holy. Crap. Whatever. Okay. I had already decided to go through with it, so I wasn't going to just walk away. BUT. It was waaaay overpriced, so despite how great the place was I might recommend another place just if you want to keep the price down. So anywho, I sat down and filled out the form while my friend looked through books of tattoos 'cause she was thinking of getting one. [This was hard to do, as my hands were shaking and I kept wanting to bolt out the door.]
So I finished the form and Hot Piercer Boy [I didn't get his name I was really upset about that] led me into the room. They had like three separate rooms, and the one I was in reminded me of my dentist's office with this medical-looking chair and a counter and sink and a cart with evil looking needles sitting on it. O_O. Anyway so I was expecting to have to lie down [from reading a bunch of other stories here] but apparently he was going to do it with me sitting in a chair. So I sat down and he cleaned my eyebrow and all the while was talking and distracting me so it made me feel a lot less nervous. He was really nice and understanding and we were also joking around trying to convince my housemate to get something pierced too.
So for the actual piercing: he told me to close my eyes and I grabbed onto my housemates hand for dear life. I felt something cold on my eyebrow and then a pinch which I thought was the clamp going on. Then something dropped into my lap and he was screwing on the little balls! IT WAS DONE and I didn't feel ANYTHING! :-@
Okay. Listen, I read all the stories here where people are like "it didn't hurt at all!" and I was just like... yah RIGHT. How could it not hurt? But they are completely right. My *ears* hurt more than that. It is like... 2 seconds of pinching and then you're DONE.
It's been 2 days since I got it and I'm SO glad I did. It looks awesome and hasn't swollen or anything. I hardly even notice it!! [And I accidentally rolled over and slept on it during the night and it didn't hurt at all this morning, which rocked].
The moral of this story is: if you really want to do it, just GO. The absolute worst part is the anticipation of it. Just pick a random day and be like "I'm going to do this!" and go without even thinking. It's DEFINITELY worth it. And now I'm *definitely* piercing addicted! :) I'm going in next month to get my lip done!
