This is my first real piercing experience that my parents have known about, I would like to write about my wonderful experience.

For any of you that haven't already read my other experience, I'm Maddie. I just turned 14 a week ago and 1 day ago and couldn't be happier. I'm in 8th grade and have good friends.

Like most teens, I have restricting parents. I was told no piercings until I'm 18 which really angered me. I should be able to get one!

Everyone knows that I have a passion for piercing and they think it's awesome(Probably because most people have never seen a tongue-web piercing in their life). Anyways, I had been getting up my courage to ask my parents for a piercing on my birthday. I had been considering an eyebrow piercing and decided to ask my mom.

After asking over and over and over again and still getting the same answer of no, I gave up. I later asked my dad, he just laughed and said " not in your wildest dreams ". This really made me angry.

I reluctantly let it go and counted down the days until my birthday.

It finally came and I got all the happy birthdays from my friends and everything, but the day didn't start until my celebration.

I ate dinner, blew out the candles(In one try) and saw a present for me. This surprised me because earlier I had gone shopping by myself and got whatever I wanted.

I ripped open the tissue paper and found a little drawing pad(I'm quite the artist:)), a gift card, and a blank envelope. I opened the envelope and found a gift certificate for an eyebrow piercing! My jaw dropped when I saw this and I just got a sudden sensation to hug my parents , hard. I thanked them over and over again and couldn't wait until tomorrow.

At school, I bragged to everyone and most thought I was nuts, I didn't care.

School finally ended and I ran home and got everything ready to go and get my eyebrow pierced. My dad came home and picked me up and we headed for Main Street.

We arrived at the parking lot and walked to the studio and opened the door.

At this time, I wasn't really nervous. I was however playing with my tongue-web jewelry, which I only do when I'm nervous.

My first impression of the studio was how clean and neat it was.

Seeing it, I thought it looked really nice with a huge red leather couch and a soda machine. At the counter was a heavy guy with a labret under his lip. He was really nice and made me feel totally comfortable. He asked for my ID and he made me fill out a form. When this was happening, he was looking for the jewelry to put in my piercing. He went to the back rom to clean everything and said it should take two minutes. My dad and I walked around the studio, saw this guy getting a tat on his back and the interesting artwork on the walls. He came out of the room and asked me if I was ready; of course I was!

He asked me to sit on this bench-type thing and hold my head still while he cleaned it. He then marked the area he was going to pierce and asked me to look in the mirror. The placement looked good, so I told him he could go on. He then asked me to lie down with my had facing towards him. He took out the clamps and told me I would feel a pinch;ouch. The clamps I would say were the worst part.

All this time, my dad and the piercer were joking with each other about how much it would hurt( thanks for your support!)

He changed his gloves which took forever and I knew what was coming. With clean gloves, he told me to take a deep breath in and to breath out. BAM! In went the needle. It didn't hurt at all! It was so cool. I was there smiling looking at my dad, who was looking away. He slipped in the jewelry and got the bead on the other end. He sent me on my way and I left feeling much responsible and older.(Who knows why.)

I have now had it for a week and it looks great. Everyone at school is asking about it, which isn't new due to the fact that I have a tongue-web and frowny piercing. This is my favorite one yet and am trying to take care of it.

And by the way,do you remember how I said I blew out all my candles in one try? Well guess what my wish was......TO GET A PIERCING!! bye!
