Cape Breton, this could arguably be one of the most closed minded places to live in Canada. When I was just a kid I wanted to get piercings. I wasn't really concerned about getting any more "exotic" piercings done. When I was about 10 I wanted to get my left lobe pierced. My parents wouldn't let me, saying that only girls got piercings like that. So being a kid, mom and dad said no so I didn't bother to fight it.

Studio Sunshine Room Location Sydney, NS, Canada Around here ya never really saw too many people with piercings other than ears up until about 4 or 5 years ago. It was around then that I wanted to get my eyebrow pierced. One of the piercing parlours in Sydney was doing free piercings for a few days and alot of my friends were going to get things stabbed. I wanted so very much to get a barbell through my eyebrow but I pussied out of getting it done, the needle creeped me out back then. I didn't really know too many people that got their brow pierced. The people that I did know said that it rejected easily. So I scrapped the idea of getting it done for a while.
Once again, I decided to tell my parents that I wanted to get my brow pierced and they freaked, they tried everything to try and convince me not to do it but they couldn't sway my decision. The only thing that was going to stop me at this point was getting the money and the time to do it since I was working alot at the time. I also have a problem with putting stuff off. Finally after I turned 18 I didn't need my parents to sign for me when I got pierced so it was just a matter of time. Christmas vacation rolled around I made a goal that I get it done before school stated back up. I wanted to get my left brow pierced. I was at a store downtown one day and I saw a spiked barbell with long spikes on either end, that was one of the things that made me want to get the piercing. After I got the piercing I bought that barbell that I was drooling over and I barely wear it. Actually a frend of mine has parts of it right now and is using it for his labret.
The day after New Years I had the afternoon off of work and some money to blow I went out to the mall and bought a few cds and pussyfooted around calling the Sunshine Room to make an appointment. Finally i called and made the appointment. I went by myself to get my first piercing done, I wish that I had people to take pictures of the procedure. The piercer was really good and joked around with me as to keep my nerves from going crazy. He told me that there was a possibility of alot of blood and not to freak out. I layed on the bed in the studio and became really nervous, my heart began to race. I didn't know what to expect, I didn't really have that much information on the piercing before I got it done. So to preoccupy my mind I read the poster that was on the wall next to me. The piercer asked me if I was nervous and I said do, which was a load of bull.
When the piercer started the procedure he put the clamp on my browm that was the only thing that I actually felt during the entire procedure. He told me to take a few deep breaths before he poked the needle. A few moments later I asked if he poked the hole yet and he said, "yeah, I'm putting the jewlery in now". I was astonished, it didn't hurt in the slightest. I barely felt it. The only thing I felt was the clamp and when he touched the needle to my skin. The overall procedure went rather quickly. When I finally got to look in the mirror after it was done I fell in love with it. I have had it for almost a year now, it remains the favourite piercing that I got so far. Since then I got 6 more, some of which I took out. My 1st piercing experience was a great, I'm extremely happy with my brow and I'm contemplating getting my right brow pierced soon. Piercing is becoming an addiction.
When I got my brow pierced it was at 16g, I've since switched to a 14g curved barbell. I prefer to wear curved barbells in it, they seem a lot more comfortable, plus I'm not as paranoid that a CBR will get hooked and get ripped out.
All in all, it's a kick ass piercing. I highly recommend getting it done.
