I have wanted a body piercing forever, but I could never figure out what I wanted or what I was aloud to get. See I'm only seventeen so, Of course I needed parental permission, and Boy, was that a hard thing to do. First I wanted a tongue ring and that was totally turned down as soon as it left my mouth by my mother. So I just looked on this site for a while looking for the right piercing for me. First, I thought I wanted was a labret, and then I wanted a belly ring. I also asked some of my friends what they think I should get, some thought I should get my eyebrow and some thought labret. After looking for a while and asking my friends, I decided on an eyebrow ring. I have heard it's not that painful and is pretty quick by what the stories said on here.

I was so happy. The there was finding a place to go, the cost of the piercing and where I wanted to put it came into play. I called like ten places for prices and for which one was closest to my house and which was clean. I finally decided on the right eyebrow and Body Art would be my place to go and get it done.
The day of my piercing has finally come. It was a cool Saturday in February that I decided to walk into the Body Art Tattoo and Piercing place. Now don't think I wasn't nervous, because believe me I was extremely nervous, stomach aches and wanting to go back was all going through my head. As I walked up to the desk, I told the guy I wanted an eyebrow piercing and where I wanted it, and of course came the paper work and the scanning of the ID's. After waiting about three to five minutes it was time for my torture.
Walking into the room that had sterilized stuff, and the dentist, he told me to sit down and started to examine my eyebrow. I thought I would be more nervous but I wasn't because he said some jokes and made me more relaxed. First, he showed me all the stuff he would be using then he told me all of the cleaning procedures I needed to follow. Then came the piercing part, first went on the terrible clamp, which hurts more than the piercing. Then he told me how to breathe and as I was concentrating on breathing the needle went through my eyebrow, I didn't even feel anything. I was even dumb enough to say; "It's done already", and I think I was too worried about my breathing then anything. The went in my cute little eyebrow ring. I totally feel in love with it at first glance.
So I paid him and said thank you and I was on my way home. So for the next six to eight weeks I had to clean it three times a day with dial soap, soaking with Epsom salts on a wash cloth twice a week and putting A+D Ointment cream on it three times a day. Yes, it is tiring but it's what you have to do for the eyebrow ring to heal and be beautiful. There was also sleeping arrangements I needed to do. I couldn't sleep on my side; I had to sleep on my back. So, I wont make the eyebrow piercing travel. Plus, I had to wash my pillowcase once a week .I also went back after eight weeks to get it changed to a pretty silver and purple straight barbell. And plus it only cost me ten dollars to get it changed and for the jewelry.
Ok, now it has been like six months since I had it done, and Boy, have I done some stupid things. One thing I did was washing my hair and totally forgot it was their and ran my fingers on the side of my face up to my eyebrow to my hair. Ouch! It was a totally stupid move at all costs. The second thing I did was trying to put on like this headband thing that had string on it, and lets just say at the time I changed my ring to a barbell and the string got stuck on my barbell and yanked it. Ouch again! So for anyone who gets an eyebrow ring just remember a couple of things: 1. Remember its there and 2. Don't wear headbands.
So don't get me wrong, I love my eyebrow ring. It healed so well and looks great. I will recommend this to anyone, because it hurts less than getting your ears pierced and there is tons of cute jewelry to put in it. If you have any questions email me and I will be happy to answer any question.
