Just to start off I think im going to tell you a little about me. Im 14 years old, and have been interested in body mods since the first time i saw a piece of metal through my brothers lip. That was quite awhile ago, I was about 10 years old. I was never quite sure what I wanted, but I was really interested in getting my labret done, until my parents shattered that dream by telling me it was never going to happen.

I came to them with the idea of getting my labret pierced first, but once again the answer was a firm NO! So I left that one alone. A couple of days later I asked them about my eyebrow, and surprising enough I got the answer of a "we will talk about it". I was happy because with my parents that usually means a yes. Well we talked about it and my dad gave in first and my mom was not far behind.
I was so excited I couldn't wait but soon the day came. December 2, my 14th birthday. The whole day in school I was all smiley but didn't let anybody know why because I wanted it to be a surprise when I came to school. Even though my best friend that was going to go with me was more excited then I was and told a couple of people. It was okay though. Well the bell finally rang at 2:05pm and I was ready to get out of there. Me and Jenny (the talkative friend) went and got in the car and picked up my brother, and we were going to meet my parents up there.
We got there about 4:00 pm and I started getting really nervous when we walked in. The place was really clean, but we had to wait for my the girl that did the piercings to get back from picking up her daughter. About 5 minutes later in she walked daughter in tow. She got out the paper work and my mom filled it out. She asked me if I wanted a barbell or a ring and i chose a 14g silver barbell. I almost got it done with a 16g but she told me that it is more common to get it 14g and it would be easier to find jewelry. It costed 45 dollars (10 dollars more than the ring.). I walked into the room with Jenny my brother, and my mama standing right there. She found out it was my birthday and said (what i found funny) "Im so glad you chose me to put you in pain on your birthday. She cleaned the barbell, the area of my eyebrow and laid out everything she needed. Needle, napkins ect. A Linkin Park song came on and she started to sing it, and actually it helped relax me, don't ask me why. She marked my eyebrow and asked me to look if that is were I wanted it. I went to go stand up and almost fell right back down on my ass, but I went and looked at it and it was perfect. I sat back down and she put the clamps on. I had to hold them until she put the rubber band on. My hand was shaking, I don't know why I was so nervous. She picked up the needle and came in front of me, told me to breathe in deep and then let it out. I did that and when I let it out she put it through. It did not hurt as much as I thought it would. She had to push the needle almost the whole way through so she could get the clamps off. She then slid in the barbell and took out the needle. That wasn't to painful, but the worst part for me. I found it real weird just like when she put on the ball. We walked out of the place, me as happy as could be. I love it so much, and it heeled really well. No infection at all.
I guess this is were the conclusion comes. Well if you want it done then you should get it because it is a real easy piercing to handle with. This is my fist one and it worked out fine for me. It didn't hurt me if you are worried about the pain. I think it is different for everyone though because it hurt my brother pretty bad when he got his done. If you live in Michigan (around Imlay City) then I would recommend Acid Works. They are very professional. I have three friends that have also gotten pierced/tattooed there and they all turned out great.
