I had been wanting my eyebrow done for several months now but, my mom isn't really into piercings, especially facial ones. But I was really down last week and to cheer me up my mom told me that she would let me get my eyebrow pierced. I was so excited, I never thought that she'd actually let me get it done.

And made an appointment to get it pierced the next Thursday. I was so happy that I was actually going to get it done. But it kinda sucked that I had to wait a whole week.
So the days dragged on and the day I was to get pierced seemed like it was never going to come. But eventually it did and I was so excited. Earlier that day, we went down to get a 16g barbell from Playback CD since, Tat/U didn't have any stocked up. Then my mom went and dropped it off to my piercer so that we wouldn't have to wait for it go throw the sterilizer.
Then I went home for a bit, since my appointment was still an hour away. Then finally the time came. Me and my mom left our house and headed down to the tat parlor. We got there about 15 minutes early but, the piercer didn't mind since she didn't have anyone else in there. Usually before you get pierced you have to sign this form but, since I had been there 2 times before, the piercer said that we didn't need to do that.
She then lead me into the back room where there was this big old comfy chair. She told me to sit down so I did. And she asked me which of my eyebrows I wanted to get pierced, and I told her I wanted my left. Then she cleaned the area on my eyebrow that was going to be pierced and I couldn't open my eyes for a few minutes because it burned so bad. Then she gave me a mirror so I could see where I wanted it marked. She took a toothpick and pointed to a spot on my eyebrow and asked me if that would be okay, I said yes and she dipped the toothpick into some purple stuff and drew a small line where the barbell would go. She raised up the chair and tilted it back a little because it would be easier for her to pierce it. Then she took out the clamp and put it on my eyebrow, I could feel little pressure but nothing bad. Then I closed my eyes and started pushing the needle through, my eyes started tearing up a little but right when the needle was through I was fine. Then she grabbed t he barbell and put it in the hole in my eyebrow put one blue ball on, then told me not to move and she ran over and grabbed the other one and put it on.
I sat in the chair looking at it in the mirror for a while. And I was so amazed that I got it done. I knew that I would take a little getting used to seeing a piece of metal sticking in my face but I knew that I loved it and I made the right choice getting it pierced. My mom got into my purse and paid the piercer since, I was still sitting in the chair looking at my new piercing. And then we were off. I grabbed a pop out the pop machine just outside Tat/U because I started to feel a little icky and I figured that my blood sugar might be getting a little low and I thought that might help, which it did. Then my eyebrow started throbbing a little and continued like that for the rest of the day. But luckily, it was only like that for the first day.
I then went up to my friends work and showed her. She thinks I'm nuts but oh well, maybe I am. Last night was torture because I usually have my head on the left side when I sleep and that's where the piercing is so, I had a hard time sleeping. Also, it didn't help that I was sick. By the way, if you can, try not to get sick the day that your supposed to get pierced. It's not very fun, take it from me.
But I've had it pierced for a day now and am loving it. I'm not so sure how my dad is going to react to it, but oh well he'll just have to get used to it. So anyway if you are thinking about getting it done, go for it, you won't regret it. And it looks so cool.
