I've wanted an eyebrow piercing for a couple of years now, but it was kind of a dull desire until about 3 months ago. Me and a couple of friends were talking about body piercings and I just decided Hey, I want something pierced! So, I thought about a couple of piercings... I thought I wanted my tongue done for a couple of days and then my longing for an eyebrow piercing came back into play.

Now the problem was money. I talked to my Dad and asked him and he said it was okay, as long as I pay for it. He was kind of pissed at first, but oh well! So yeah, I worked my butt off--- in a way. I go to a boarding school so it's kind of hard to get a job, in fact I'm not allowed to get a job. So I did what I could. I straightened girls hair for about 5 bucks each (very good business), I sold some stuff, blah blah blah. I had to save up like 90 dollars because I knew I was getting it done in Japan (Spring break, Dad lives there, yada yada.).

I seriously think most of my friends were annoyed of me the last couple of weeks, because ALL I could talk about was "AHHH, I cant wait!!!!!". So last Thursday I leave the airport for Japan. I arrived here in Japan and the first thing I thought was when I was going to get my eyebrow pierced. The second day I was here, me and my friend went to a place in downtown Tokyo where all young people hang out. We found a body piercing studio, one which I saw on the internet and so I went in and asked how much it was, planning to come back in a week or so. Little did I know I was actually going to get in done about 15 minutes later....

Since it's Japan, things run a little differently. They didn't need my parents signature or anything, just as long as I know they don't care, so I called my Dad up and asked if I could get it done right then, he said yes! The guy at the counter was really nice, he had TONS of piercings himself and they made me feel comfortable. My piercer was a Japanese guy named Asami (who was cute, BTW...) and het got everything set up. Everything was out of brand new packages, safe and sterile. They didn't have much selection with jewelry, it was either some different sized rings or a curved mini barbell. Personally, I think rings are tacky and I was praying they wouild have barbells. Hince, I chose the barbell. The cost was pretty expensive compared to the prices in America---- it was 9,000 Yen, which is about like 85 bucks. Yes yes, I know, ur probably thinking "Wow, she got ripped off..." BUT I wanted it really bad and it was worth it!!!

Asami then led me to a nice, little, padded chair (I was so glad I wasn't laying down!) and he marked the dots. We marked around once or twice, but then I decided to go with the one he originally made. *blush*. I had my friend sit beside me so I could have her hand to squeeze on. Oh, may I include that this is my first piercing other than my ears, so I was pretty nervous! He took the needle which was lubricated with some kind of gel. He told me to relax and close my eyes. My eyelids were fluttering like crazy. I was kind of surprised he didn't use clamps--- anyways, he pushed the needles through, slowly, and it didn't hurt at all until he popped it thru the last bit of skin--- it kind of stung. Now, I know from reading all the other stories, practically EVERYBODY says that the part that hurts the most is when they change the needle to the jewelry, but it didn't hurt one bit for me.

I've been cleaning it every day for the past five days. Twice a day, in fact, with anti-bacterial Clearasil (strange I know, but that's what they told me to get)

I've made sure not to sleep on it and it's been no trouble so far. I'm just super paranoid about rejection or migration, hopefully it wont do neither!! So here I am, with a cute eyebrow piercing, as happy as can be!!! Anybody who wants an eyebrow piercing should definitely go for it. There's very little pain and it looks awesome. Next, I'm gonna do my tongue then maybe my nose, one or the other. Anyways, like I said before, DO it if u want to!!! It's a tiny, tiny, needle and you have nothing to lose! Happy Piercing!!!!
