When I first moved to where I am living now I seen that many people had piercings, I always wanted one but I was always too young. I always have hung out with the older cool kids my best friend Bob-o had his nose pierced and I really thought it looked cool.

Well he died two days later.
When I was about 14 years old I really wanted to get my nose pierced. I don't really know why but I know it would remind me of my friend, like a memory thing. So I begged my mom like forever well not forever but for about a week finally she gave in because well she has piercings and well I don't think she really could say no. Well after that took place I was addicted to them.
So one day I was thinking about getting another piercing. I already have eleven. Ears (top) 10 gauge (bottom) 000 gauge , two nose piercings, a lip, a tongue, top and bottom navel, and my newest one my eye brow. So I went up to Stiehl's Body Modification in Ithaca was looking around to see if anything got my eye, well Dawn was like you should get your eye brow done and I was like ok cool. I never had my eye brow done so I was nervous. Everyone that knows me knows I am a baby when it comes to a new piercing.
Well Dawn and I went threw the jewelry to see what piece I wanted, then we went over what to do and what not to do with your new piercing. Well I was ready until I found out I was last because I brought me mom and her friend to the shop and they wanted a new one to. So I watched my mom get her lip done and wow she made it look like I hurt a lot then I watched her friend get his nose pierced. He said that it hurt really badly too and by this time I was like flipping out. Not because of them telling me it hurts because I have them two piercings done.
All I was saying was nope cant do this nope forget about it and wow I was acting so stupid.
Well then I was in the piercing room sitting on the table thing getting ready to get pierced. I was kind of scared because I have been told if the person piercing you hits a spot in your eye brow your side of your face can go paralyzed or you can go blind. So I'm like oh no!
I trust Dawn with all of my piercings though because I have only ever gotten pierced by Dawn or Ron, so I knew nothing was going to happen but it was just that issue I was thinking about.
So she cleans my eye off and all that fun stuff, puts the clamps on my eye brow and told me one relax two deep breath in three let it out so I was ready still shaking though, I heard one I was not relaxed but I said I was two deep breath in, three let it out.
I really had no reason to be scared at first because it did not hurt. I really did not feel the needle go in.
So the jewelry was put in and it looked really good. For now though I think I'm done with piercings, but that's not a promise I just need to get a job and all that fun stuff. I'm just so addicted to them though!
The only thing I was worried about was a lot of times I'd catch it on my shirts, the blanket, and fooling around with my friends. Well one day I caught it on my shirt and I thought I ripped it out, well I did not but it hurt really badly. I went to clean it that night and this yellowish green stuff came out. I thought for sure that it was infected, well I called the shop and told them what was going on and to find out it was just the stuff that's going to come out. I felt kind of stupid, but better safe than sorry
I do advise though for people, who want piercings, always let a professional do the job, I have a few friends that let other non professionals pierce them and they have major problems like infections, major migrating, and t really nasty things. You always want to be safe. Especially with this kind of job.
Its always fun to do different things from your friends, yea doing something's are cool but you don't have to look like them. With all the people I hang out with only two of them have more piercings than me the rest have a couple of them but I'm getting them to catch up! so now I have to find something else different.
But for now get pierced and stay happy! Getting pierced is always fun!
