Ever since I first saw someone with an eyebrow piercing, I knew I wanted one. The only thing that really stopped me at first was my mom, who doesn't believe in piercings or tattoos. Although when my 17th b-day came around, I knew I wanted to get a body mod, and I either wanted my eyebrow pierced or a tattoo. I told my mom about this, and she didn't like the idea of either, but she knew there was no way to stop me, so she said that she would rather I get an eyebrow piercing than a tattoo. So went to Dragon F/X to see how much they charged for it, and they said it would only be $55, but then my mom had to open her big fat mouth and told them that I played football and that my football helmet might rip it out (which it doesn't come any where close to doing). So the people at Dragon F/X said it would be a very bad idea to get my eyebrow pierced, so being annoyed about it all, I just left.

So the next day I went to a place called Divine, and asked them how much it would cost, and they told me it would be $60, which I thought was alright, so I reserved an appointment, and then had to go get my mom's license and signature because they wouldn't allow a person under 18 to get a piercing without parental consent. So I went to my mom's work and got her license and signature, and while she did this, she told me about how she really didn't want me to do this, but I just didn't listen to her, I had my mind set on getting it done, and I didn't care what anyone said.

So I went right back to Divine, and give them the signature and let them see my mom's license, asked what kind of jewelry I wanted (I choose 12 Ga. curved barbell) and they told me that the piercer would just be a minute as he was busy piercing someone else. So I waited for about 15 minutes, just looking at the jewelry they had in the display case. Then the piercer came out, called my name, and then introduced himself to me. He had quite a few piercings, which made me feel more comfortable cause if he had pierced himself, then he must be a pretty good piercer. So I went into the room and sat down on the dentist chair. I was really surprised about how clean the room was compared to the rest of the store; the store I didn't find to be all that clean, but this room was spotless. So he started to tell me about the after-care of eyebrow piercings. He told me to clean it with saline solution, 2 times a day till it heals. I didn't seem to be all that difficult. So then he started to set all of his stuff up, and this is when the butterflies started to fly around in my stomach.

He realized that I was a bit nervous, and so I should have been, seeing it was my first piercing other than my lobe. He told me that it didn't hurt very much and that I'll be alright. This kind of settled me down, but I was still a little nervous. He then started to massage my eyebrow, he told me it was because it's a lot easier to pierce it when it's looser, and so massaging it really helps. He then marked it, and let me look in the mirror, and it was the exact place I wanted it. He then told me to take three big breaths in, and that on the third one he was going to stick it through. So I breathed in, breathed out, breathed in, breathed out, breathed in, and WHAM, it was through, and it didn't hurt much at all, it just felt like pinching my eyebrow.

So then he picked up the mirror and handed it to me, it looked so sweet, and I loved it. So he then again went over the after-care instructions, but I was too busy staring at my eyebrow, it looked awesome. So I then thanked him and went on my way.

I went to see my mom right afterwards; her co-workers really liked the look of it. At first, my mom said she hated it, but now, I don't think she minds it at all.

All of the girls like it, which is cool. Most of the guys I know don't really like it, but I really just think they're jealous. And plus, who cares if the guys like it, it only matters if the girls like it. :)

And as for the after-care, I didn't really wash it as much as I was supposed to, but I never really had any swelling or pain while it was healing. I did though get a little bit of puss coming out of it about a month after I got it done, but it went away really quick, and since then, I haven't had any problems with it.

Overall, I would recommend eyebrow piercings to anyone because they are very easy to take care of, and look good on practically anyone.

HAPPY PIERCINGS
