I was in Grade 9, 15 years old and one month from my 16th birthday, I previously had my ears done when I was a year old or something like that, but I had been wanting my eyebrow pierced for over a year and kept asking my mom and dad if I could get it done. Finally a week before I got it done they finally said yes! So a week later my mom, my aunt, my younger cousin and I made the trip from Liverpool, NS to Halifax.

We arrived at KBS and walked in, I was a little nervous but not too much. We went to the counter and I noticed a sign that said, "you must be 16 years of age to receive a piercing" or something along those lines. So the guy came to the counter and asked if we had any questions, and I said I would like to get my eyebrow pierced. He asked how old I was and I said 16, my mom looked at me but didn't say anything. The guy said okay cool, and explained about the form and asked for me to fill it out and then for my mother to sign it. So I filled it out and changed the year of my birthday back one year, so I would be eligible to get my piercing. While I was reading and filling out the form the guy said that he would go set up, so I finished the form and then he came back to the counter and said that he was ready and I could come back in the room.

We followed the guy back into the room and made small chat while he explained that he was going to mark the spots on my eyebrow that he felt would be a good place. After he marked the spots he told me to look into the mirror and see if it's good. I looked in the mirror and loved it, and then looked at my mom and she said that it looked like a good place for the piercing. So the guy then explained the process and asked if I was ready and I told him I was. He then got the clamp ready and put it on my eyebrow and made sure it was in the right position, he then got the needle ready and told me to breathe in through my nose and hold it and then to breathe out of my mouth and that is when he put the needle through. I was surprised about it being so painless, but it slightly made my eye water, it pretty much just felt like getting blood work done and feeling that little tiny pinch. My mom and aunt got a little grossed out and my aunt walked out of the room, and then the guy took the clamp off and got the hoop and pushed it through and the needle came out. Then he was about to put the little bead on and accidently dropped it on the floor, so he got another one and cleaned it and then closed the hoop on the bead and cleaned my eyebrow up a little. He then explained that the needle would never be used again and bent it and put it in the container of old used needles. He then asked me if I was ready to go, and I said I was.

The guy led me out to the counter and told me about aftercare, gave me a sheet about it, and then I payed him, and he gave me a business card with his name, OP, written on the back by the artists name. He asked if I had any more questions before I go, and I said no, I'm great, thank you very much and then we left.

My eyebrow was finally done, and about three months later I bought my first barbell for my eyebrow and got it put in at a piercing place, and they did it for free. Since then I have tons of different barbells and balls, and I absolutely love how they look! I would definitely recommend an eyebrow piercing because they are totally sweet! Good luck and happy piercing to anyone reading and getting their first piercing!

I'm now almost 18 years old in April, and am still totally pumped about my eyebrow! I have had it done for almost three years. I would definitely go back to KBS, and I have gone back and got my tongue, and my lip twice there. I also got my tongue pierced once before I got a second one at KBS. But that's a few more stories to share, and unfortunately all of you will have to wait. My next piercing is going to be my nipples and my eyebrow again. I have also stretched my ears to 6g, and put in plugs, but decided that 6g is big enough for me, so I will totally update you guys on those, and maybe get you all some pictures!
