Well hi there!, Im going to tell you all, well whoever reads this about my eyebrow piercing. Well it all happened last saturday when me and my friends decided we wanted new piercings, after having the cartilage in my ear pierced for over 2 years, I decided I needed something different to enhance my image. So I and my friends headed off to Glasgow in search or a good piercing studio.
At A Glance Author John Contact John@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Sorry Can't Remember Studio Piercing Studio Location Glasgow We then came across a piercing studio which looked ok from outside so we pushed ahead and went in.
When we went in the studio was Really busy there was about 16 people in front of us!. After half an hour of waiting we left the studio.
We were kind of downed as we thought we were going to go home piercing less, and moneyless but!! I then remembered a great studio in the central area of Glasgow which I had heard about before as my friend got her tongue web pierced and strongly recomended the place.
So in search of the piercing studio the 7 of us marched from one end of Glasgow to the other and after 40 minutes we found it!!.I had then remembered after reading experiences in bmezine that we should eat something before going in, so I then went to the St Enoch Centre in search of food and found McDonalds . After munching my way through a Big Mac and Fries and a Watered Down Fanta, I headed back to the piercing studio.
My friend Claire went in first after an agreement that she should go first, Although she was edgey she went in and after 10 minutes came out with a beautiful Tragus, although she thought the piercing was simple she was in a bit of pain with it.
I then went in, the piercer was very nice and was Singing, I then told her I would like my eyebrow pierced and she had all new equipment arranged on the table and although I did question her on everything she used I was sure I was in safe hands. She then asked me if I wanted my eyebrow sprayed, I said "yes" as I'm not fond of pain. She then explained the spray wouldn't freeze much but would sting a bit. She then went through the procedure and I felt totally and uterly safe so I gave her the O-K to pierce me lol.
She then took the clamps out and opened all the new foil packets and with New Gloves, Needle, New Clamps, And Sterilising Scrub, she went on, also Kelis - Milkshake was on the radio and she was telling me to sing. She was very good natured and I was frightened it would hurt(big baby!)
Anyway she then put the spray on my eyebrow and the surrounding area. She then went on and put the clamp on my eyebrow and pushed the needle up through my eyebrow, and all the while I had me eyes open and was sing Kelis-Milkshake.
I was astonished at how much I expected pain and didn't feel it. I was shocked!!. She then proceeded and put my dark blue barbell through and screwed the ball in place. And within minutes I was finished.
Although she did tell me to sit for about 5 minutes incase I felt light headed or dizzy but I felt totally fine maybe because I ate 2 mars bars before I went to McDonalds.
She then went through how to clean my new piercing and gave me a pamphlet on how to. I then paid the woman and said thanks for giving me my new piercing.
I walked out of the room and my friends were all shocked and thought I really suited it, I was really happy as not only did I like it but my friends did too, my other friend Becca got her cartilage in her ear pierced and was really happy with it afterwards.
Even my family all liked my piercing, especially my mum as she urged me to get this piercing, as she know what it's like being into the music scene's (she's an old punk rocker).
What I was most worried about was SCHOOL!! and the impressions people would have on me, but I got to the stage I didn't care anymore as this piercing was mine but to my surprise most people liked it apart from a few idiotic moronic fools but even so, I don't care, because most of them are more interested in pickin on people that are slightly different so I didn't care. They got a "F**k you but have a nice day" and were astonished as I'm pretty quiet.
So you see, It's not about wether you're an Emo Kid, Punk Rocker,Goth or anything else Body Modification is to you and you only. No-one can tell you otherwise (unless you underage an ur mum doesn't agree) but there are people in life who are going to both agree and disagree with your piercings, clothes and anything else you have to offer so when you think of having a piercing done, don't consider other's thoughts. Consider your own.
