Well I'm sure you can guess just like any other piercing you find yourself thinking about it for a decent amount of time "normally" before you get it. Well for my eyebrow it consisted of about 2 weeks. I have great friends that think they can do just about anything including being professional piercing artists. Sadly that's not always the case. Needless to say I ended up with a bad piercing experience that resulted in a small scar and nothing more at age 15.

So just like everything else I went on to other things. A tattoo, industrial, navel, nipples, other numerous ear piercings and the works. Then I thought how all along it started with my eyebrow and to that day I didn't have it. I had everything else it seemed at one time or another and still no eyebrow. So I took my cute little self to Panama Red in Oxford. A great guy that can make light of everything. The guy has seen me in all my "glory" if you know what I mean so I thought I would see my old friend for something a bit more simple.

I wasn't to worried about the pain because when it comes to piercings I have a very high pain tolerance its almost like a pleasure really. So I took my lovely fiancé Bryan with me to get the lovely procedure I had wanted so dearly. He was more than thrilled to see his girl get another piece of exquisite metal through her body. I went up the stairs in the shop and gave his wife who worked at the desk my Id and information. She copied it again and had me sign all the X's and I was on my way to pick out the jewelry. Cbr's are always better to start with for healing and cleaning purposes. So I picked out a cute 16gauge ring and a little blackish-purple ball.

I was starting to get anxious waiting so eagerly when I heard Panama call me back to the room. I walked in with a big smile and pulled my guy into the room with me to watch my dream come to life. I sat against the chair as he told me all about the procedure and asked me where I wanted it and marked me with his sharpy. I told him at an angle on my left eyebrow and he placed it perfectly. It was all set. He changed his gloves grabbed the clamps and told me to relax. I had been pierced many other times so I knew what to expect. I held my breath when I felt them clamp on my brow and with a big smile I held it until I felt the needle touch and let it out as he started to pass it through my flesh. With a big gasp of relief it was in and I was more than happy. No pain at all just a pinch and then all pleasure. He slid the ring in with great ease and grabbed the closers to put the ball on for it to be final. I hopped up and went to the mirror to see my new masterpiece. It was per fect. Panama just laughed at my love for mods and fearlessness and smiled and said it suited me just like everything else handed me my care sheet knowing I knew it all anyways and I was on my way.

The healing process was easy. Just anti-bacterial soap twice daily twisting the ring back and forth as you wash and rinse and bactine every other day. Make sure you wash your hands very well with anti-bacterial soap as well before cleaning your piercing. Also a tip after washing your hands use a warm washcloth over the piercing holding it there for a few minutes to loosen and soften the crusties for easier and more comfortable cleaning with a faster healing time. In about 3 weeks mine was healed after all the yuckie crusting period. Which can still come a long with a snag on a fishnet shirt here and there (we cant be graceful all the time can we?)I had small signs of infection from my makeup (I believe) but after a couple sea salt soaks it was all cleared up. The healing time really varies with everyone though. DO NOT over clean your piercing that will not make the healing time faster! Also make sure to wash anything the fresh piercing may come into contact with. And you will be well on your healing way.

I must say my guy and everyone else loves it and most importantly so do I and it was more than time for it to be done. I FIRMLY recommend it to anyone who has ever even questioned having it. It will not be as bad as you may think and the results as for comments you get from others are well worth any pain or maybe pleasure you may feel from it anyways. To this day when I look into the mirror or see my guy giving me the "cant resist you look" I give a little wicked smile remembering it all started with the eyebrow.
