I got my second piercing a few months ago. It was sort of spur of the moment. I've wanted my eyebrow pierced forever but I couldn't get my mom's permission, which I needed since I'm only 17. About a year ago I got a tragus piercing (which I love to death) and i was suppose to be done with piercings after that. But I couldn't help it, I wanted more.

Well, we were in Cleveland for the weekend with family, and i was hinting around about it to my mom all weekend, hoping she would finally crack and let me get it pierced. Well Saturday night I wanted to go out and get it pierced so me and my cousins looked up Piercing places and finally found one that would pierce me since i was from out of town and didn't have a birth certificate or social security card with me. I was so excited to get it done, and was convincing myself not to back out. Well, we told my mom that we were going downtown to get my eyebrow pierced and told her how it won't leave a big scar and how awesome it would be to get. She FINALLY gave in!! We had to hurry up and leave cause we were about 30 minutes outside of cleveland and the place closed in about an hour. So we're rushing through Cleveland in a huge hurry to get there cause I didn't wanna back out now.

We finally get there and walk in and the place was empty except for the three piercers working. I walk up to the counter and tell the dude what I want and I paid and then he let me pick out my jewelry, I picked out a straight 16 gauge titanium barbell. Then we all walked back into the room and I sat down in the chair. So we're all sitting in there waiting for the guy to come back in. I'm sitting in the chair with my mom and two cousins sitting to my left. The guy walks back in and slides on these thick black rubber gloves, this is when I started to panic and think about chickening out. He marked two dots on my eyebrow where the piercing was gonna go and it looked fine. He put the clamp on my eyebrow, that was what hurt the most, but not nearly as bad as the clamp on my tragus. I started to feel like I was going to pass out and started to second guess getting my eyebrow pierced, but I wasn't about to talk myself out of it, I wanted it pierced and I was gonna go through with i t. So he warned me that he was about to stick the needle in and I took a deep breath and said alright. Next thing i know my eyebrow was pierced. I couldn't believe it, I was so excited. It looked awesome. It was sore and bruised for a few days but other than that it didn't hurt at all.

I couldn't wait to come home and show my dad and brothers and all my friends. I was kind of nervous though because I didn't want anyone to not like it. My mom actually loved it, which was really awesome. I didn't call and tell any of my friends that I was getting it because i wanted everyone to be surprised. So we got home on Monday and i showed my brothers, they hated it but they got use to it after awhile. The next day at school, everyone loved it and wanted to touch it and stuff. Except for my friend Sam because it was still swollen and he said it looked like I got shot in the face with two BB's but oh well. The coolest thing is that it made a few of my friends want to go out and get some piercings, which I loved. My friend Meg went out and got her belly button pierced not long after seeing my eyebrow and then my friend April went and get her tongue pierced. And now my mom is thinking about getting a tragus piercing, thats amazing! She's 41 and wants to get a piercing, I love it!

An eyebrow piercing just kind of suited my face and made it even cooler. I still have it in today and I couldn't really imagine taking it out any time soon. The only bad thing about having a facial piercing is trying to get a job. I live in Fairmont, West Virginia, a really small town. So to start off with theres not really many places for 17 year olds to work around here and when you do find a place, they don't want you to have piercings. But theres no way I'm taking my eyebrow piercing out just to get a job. I love my piercings and now I can't wait to get a few tattooes!
