For as long as I could remember I had wanted my eyebrow pierced and I had been putting it off for about 4 years... this was because of money and because I had heard that it was dangerous and very painful.

My parents had no problems with it... its my body, im paying for it so it had nothing to do with them. The week passed and before I knew it I was in the car on the way to puncture. They are known here on the coast for being the best of the best... they have a great reputation!
I walked into the studio... it had a great atmosphere... heaps to look at on the walls, comfortably air conditioned and quiet... which was just what I needed because whilst I wouldn't like to admit it I was nervous and a little scared of what was to come. I met my piercer Bobbie, she had a face like a pin cushion (and by that I mean full of pins) but was so nice and helpful, she made me feel instantly comfortable. After filling in a form and reading a disclaimer I was good to go.
I had already ordered in my jewellery during the week, a black 16g barbell. I have long black hair, I wanted something that I could easily hide if I wanted to, so the black bar seemed the way to go. I personally don't like rings and also there the first thing to get ripped out in fights, which would be so so incredibly painful.
Bobbie took me into the back room which was still so comfortable and sat me down in a dentist like chair. She came back from the sterilisation room and opened the tools she was going to use. I must admit I wasn't expecting a needle that big but I just averted my eyes to a picture on the wall. She explained the procedure to me and then before I knew it I had clamps on me. These are no way near as painful as people make them out to be... but that said, I could definitely feel them! She instructed me to close my eyes and breathe... I could feel something poking around but I want sure exactly what she was up to but I was pretty sure when the needle went through... those people who say that it doesn't hurt are either lying or just lucky. It wasn't the worst pain in the world but it wasn't pleasant... hurt about as much as getting your ear pierced but it's a lot sharper and I could really feel the needle going through. She then had to put in the bar... which hurt the most because it was sma ll she had to fiddle around with it. But before I knew it she told me to open my eyes and look in the mirror. I instantly fell in love with what I saw... it was perfect.
I proceeded out and paid and Bobbie arranged a check up appointment in 2 weeks... i am so glad that I just went and did it, I suggest to any one who's thinking about it just go and get it done. Its hurts for about 5 minutes then its fine, so far I haven't had any problems, I knocked it once but it didn't hurt to bad. The after care procedures seem like a pain in the but... but I only have to for about 3 months and its worth it, because half an hour a day is so much better than an infection, I was also told that steaming the piercing speeds healing time, now I don't know how true that is but im going to give it a go and if its successful il be sure to let everyone know.
So all in all I was happy with my experience and I urge anyone in the sunshine coast area to go to puncture, they are a little dearer than the rest but they are LOT better. I cant stress enough how important a good piercer is, not only do they know what there doing but they know how to relax you and make you feel comfortable. If my piercer hadn't of been talking through out the whole thing I would have been freaking out but because she was talking in this certain way it put me at ease (now I think of it I have no idea what she was talking about or what she was saying)
