I have my tongue, bellybutton and 8 piercings in my ears. I was thinking about new piercings, maybe even a facial one but wasn't considering it that much. I don't get nervous about piercings for some reason, they just don't scare me very much. Maybe its because tongue and bellybutton are two of the least painful piercings you can get. Anyways, I went to Chillwack this summer to see my sister, neice and nephew. I made a few friends that my cousin introduced me to. One of them had her eyebrow pierced. I thought it looked awesome. I've always thought that nose piercings were more feminine though. I saw a hair salon that looked kind of neat so we went to check it out. Turns out they did piercings too. I had been thinking about my nose or my eyebrow for a while but I didn't think I was actaully going to get it done. So I asked the lady if she could do a piercing right then but she said to come back in a half an hour. We went around the mall for a bit then went back, she started f illing forms out for me then she asked me how old I was, I said 16 but she needed ID. Which I left at home. Very let down, I went back to my sisters house.

I called my mom just to make sure that it would be okay if I got something done. She said "of course" my moms awesome. I called my boyfriend and told him I was getting something and he was very mad, he hated piercings and tattoos. We are very different in many ways. I LOVE piercings. I think they're great. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want them. So the next day I went back and brought my sister who confirmed that I'm actually 16. So once again, the lady started to fill out the forms. This was a different lady who seemed much nicer. When she asked me what piercing I wanted I decided on eyebrow. She led me into a brightly lit room and told me to sit down in the big white chair. My sister and nephew came in with me. She cleaned the area and showed me the tools she'd be using. I wasnt nervous at all, I'd had my tongue and bellybutton done which didnt hurt at all so this would be a piece of cake. She drew on three sets of dots and I chose the ones I liked best. She then put the clamp on and pushed the needle through, now I am totally serious here IT DIDN'T HURT ONE BIT. I didnt even feel it. I almost had to say "did you do it?" She did but the needle was just sticking out of my eyebrow, my nephew thought this was very "cool". She pulled the barbell through which I felt a lot but it didn't hurt much. She twisted the balls on and went over how to clean and care for it. No more swimming for the rest of the summer? I didn't anyways but I didn't put my head underwater. We payed and left. It was only 30 bucks!! I was amazed. My tongue costed 85$ so 30 was very cheap to me. I was very happy with my new piercing. When I went home I looked in the mirror for a long time admiring it. Afterwards it didnt hurt either, it was just a little uncomfortable to sleep on. Onetime when I was washing my face the ball fell off and went down the drain and I had no more extra ones so I just put a bandaid over it for the night and got a new barbell in the morning.

After about 5 months or so I took it out because I got something called a "staph infection" which is an infection in your blood either from me not taking care of my piercing good enough, or catching it from someone else. It was probably from not cleaning my eyebrow enough, it wasn't pussing or anything after about 2 weeks so I thought it was healed but then oneday it just filled up with this disgusting yellow puss. I was really sick too. Never ever neglect cleaning your piercing. I was getting kind of bored with it anyways but I was still sad when it was gone. It looked so good with sunglasses on haha. My new goal is to get a vertical labret... which I'm very scared about cause I heard it hurt a lot. Anyways though good luck to anyone who wants an eyebrow piercing, just make sure the place is very clean because getting a piercing right next to your eye cant be a good thing. I definitely recommend it though because it was not painful at all. Just clean it! Email me if you hav e any questions!
