This is my eyebrow experience.

I had wanted my eyebrow piercing since I saw one of my mom's friends with one. My mom had no qualms about it, but I didn't exactly like pain. My older sister is actually quite fond of telling me that I have extremely low pain tolerance.

Then, one weekend I just had the urge to go and get it pierced. I was talking to my mom about it and she said that it would be perfectly fine if I found a place, and checked out that it was ok. She even offered to pay for it!! Well, I found a place called Tranceformations and I asked a few friends about it and one said that her sister got her nose done there and the place was awesome. So I searched the phone number on the internet and gave it to my mom to make an appointment.

So, I was surfing the net and I found BME. I starting looking at the eyebrow pictures and experiences and it got me really excited. During the week I had to wait I never got off of BME. It was really great that lots of people had written about their piercings being successful and unsuccessful.

The only thing was I was extremely nervous about migration, and about what some of my friends would think, and friends parents. Since I was almost a straight A student, I didn't know how they would take it. I knew that I wasn't trying to be rebellious or anything, I just really wanted a piercing!

My mom made the appointment for that Saturday. I didn't know how she could expect me to wait all that time since it was Monday. I did it, step by step. It was super hard because I was so excited, and all of my friends had to tell me to shut up about it, because I wouldn't stop talking about how excited I was.

When the weekend finally came, and I had read almost all of the eyebrow experiences, I was ready to get my eyebrow pierced. Now, most of the stories on BME about eyebrow piercings said that there was literally no pain except for a slight sting. I believed that so I wasn't scared at all.

When I got to Tranceformations, in the parking lot I was extremely scared and nervous. I had to calm myself before I walked in. At the counter my mom told them who I was and my appointment time and she handed me a form to fill out. There was a piece of paper that had all the instructions about after care and all of the products that you should use to clean it. I filled out all of my info and my mom gave her our ID's. The piercer came in and started talking to me, he asked if I had any questions and I didn't so I picked out my jewellery. I picked a CBR ring with a blue bead. I asked what gauge they pierced in and it was 16, so I was a little more nervous. Roland, the piercer, started cleaning the ring and bead and let them soak in a solution.

He took me into the piercing room and told me to sit up on a doctors table, while he got all of the equipment ready. He started chatting with me and my mom, while he marked the spot with a toothpick. Then he made sure it was straight, and cleaned it again. Then he got me to lay down with my head lower than my body, and did the breathing exercises. He massaged it and then pulled it up a little and stuck it through very gently. Now, for everyone who read that it doesn't hurt.... IT'S A LIE!! It does hurt, not like excruciating or anything but still sore. When the needle went through he got up to get the jewellery and my mom snapped a photo. He pulled the jewellery through and screwed on the blue bead. Then he cleaned it again, and let me sit up. He asked if I felt ok, and I did , so we left.

I got it on Saturday, and its now Monday Night, and theres no pain. I just finished soaking it in sea salt, and I'm about to hop in the shower and clean it with some Pears soap. The only thing that I wondered about my piercing was why Roland didn't use any clamps. It didn't make a difference because my eyebrow looks awesome, but I still wonder because in every experience I've read on BME all of them have used clamps.

My eyebrow experience was totally awesome, and if anyone is thinking about getting it done, you totally should. Even though it hurt it was the best thing I could have done to give myself a little change. I am so proud of myself, and you will be too, so happy piercing and good luck with all of them!!
