I had wanted to get my eyebrow pierced for a really really long time, but both my parents really hate piercings, well my entire family really.Since I was visiting my brother in St. Johns, i was off work for a couple of weeks for Xmas, so I decided I'd get my eyebrow done while I was there. I knew my parents wouldn't like it very much but I told them I was getting it done while I was there and I was paying for it completely by myself, After Some arguing of " i'll do it anyway when i move out" they gave in and i was going to get my eyebrow piercing, Finally!

The day I got to St. Johns, took about 5 hours on the bus(felt like forever), My brother's girlfriend took me downtown to tactonics to see if I could get in before i went back home. They told me the next opening was on Tuesday the 30th because the piercer was out of town. So I made an appointment for two and was very excited. We did some shopping and then went home.

The entire weekend I couldn't wait to go back to get pierced, it was all I could think about. Every time we went out I was looking at jewelry I even bought a 16 gauge curved bar with silver cones to wear once it's healed.

Tuesday came and I woke up almost forgetting that today was the day, then My brother came out and said "you get pierced today are you excited?" It was only a few hours away and it seemed to be the longest two hours ever. Finally they said it was time to leave, we walked downtown (they live real close anyway) looked around for a little while and then finally it was time.

I checked in at the counter and the girl working told me to go sit down because the piercer was still upstairs with someone. I looked around the cases of jewelry, point out some really cool plugs to my brother. When she came down she started talking to me and asking what I was getting done and she said it would look really good on me. Then she asked me to follow her upstairs; she let my brother and his girlfriend come with me. Which was relieving, very relieving. Thought i didn't want to admit i was a bit scared.

She gave me a form to fill out and as I was doing that she set out all the tools she needed explaining what they were going to be used for, I watched her take everything out of the packages and told her I wanted a bar instead of a loop. I passed her back the form and she got me to sit up on the table. I do admit I was a little nervous but she said it was totally normal, we started talking about the music she was playing. It Was Alexis on fire a band I really like And how i got to catch Warped tour this past summer.

She put the clamp on and told me most people thought that was the worst part, but it didn't bother me at all. She counted to 3 and put the needle in, Sure it stung a little but it wasn't unbearable, just a little weird (Obviously, theres a needle in your face). She then put the jewelry in and talked me through every single thing she did.

After that she asked if I was feeling okay and I told her I was fine, she then told me how to take care of it and we talked awhile about what jewelry I could change and how soon. It was swelling up a little bit but she told me that it was completely normal and I went downstairs and played and tipped my piercer, while picking up sone of the plugs i showed my brother before.

I was so excited about it being there, every time we passed a mirror I had too look at it, even some people in a few store complemented on how good it looked and were amazed that it was done that day. We went out to dinner and i knew people were looking at me. Normally that would freak me out but i was kind of happy.

So far aftercare is simple, i wash it twice a day and give it a Sea Salt soak at least once everyday. The main thing is trying not to hook it on my clothes, but im getting used to it being there.

This has to be by far my favorite piercing. It looks great and it didn't hurt, If anybody wants their eyebrow done, then go do it, you only live once and you feel great for doing it!
