My eyebrow was my first piercing besides my ears and it took quite a bit of convincing on the parental side of things. I had never really thought of getting my eyebrow pierced it was kind of spur of the moment. A couple of my friends had gotten it done but I knew my dad would never let it happen because he is totally against piercings. It was just after last christmas and I all of a sudden had the urge to get it done. I had talked to my friends about it and they all assured me that it would look good. So I decided to bring the idea to my mom first. She took her time and eventually she said that if I could convince my dad then she'd let me get it done. I thought I would have no chance but I always give things a try because you just never know. So I called up my dad and I just came out and asked him, he was not pleased. His girlfriends son had gotten his tongue pierced and it had not gone over well so I was hoping he would go easy on me. I finally got him to say yes but he said that he would be disappointed but would get over it. I thanked him and hung up. So I ran to my mom excited as ever and I was allowed to get my eyebrow pierced. I made the appointment from school because it was too late the night before to call. I was so excited the whole day I could hardly contain myself.

THAT AFTERNOON

After school me and one of my best friends walked to outrageously amazing and I was excited yet I was getting to be a little shaky. We went inside and the lady took me into the back room and we talked for a bit while she got all her instruments ready. Seeing them in person was starting to freak me out as it was my first real piercing. So she plucked some of my eyebrows to clean the area. We were talking so I was getting to be less nervous. So she made the mark and put the clamp on. And the clamp did not hurt who ever says it does is nuts! So the needle went through with just a pinch. It was less painless then the holes in my ears! The lady put the ring through and I was ready to go home. The atmosphere was great and I was not at all nervous about the cleanliness of the tools so that was the least of my worries. I paid for it ($35) and was headed for home. It stung a bit but only when it was touched. I was totally happy with the piercing and didn't regret a minute of it. It was healing awesomely so I decided that it would be okay to take it out early. And that was my biggest mistake ever. It seemed fine at the time but now I am paying for it.

About four months after I had gotten it done I went back to the shop to get it checked out because it had still not healed. The lady told me to do sea salt soaks and it should heal up nicely. So I followed her instructions and bought sea salt and soaked it right away. It was healing perfectly and I was so happy. But once again it got hit and I was back to feeling the pain. Now I am not complaining I am just letting everyone know what my experience is and that you should seriously not change your ring or barbell until it has fully healed and does not hurt at all. You will be glad in the end because it is the greatest. And it pretty much suits anyone. Just as long as your doing it because you like it and not because you want a piercing.

I got my eyebrow pierced on the 15th of January 2003 and it has been the best decision I have ever made. And although it still has not fully healed despite all my attempts to heal it. I tend to hit it quite often and event hough it hurts sometimes I am being persistent because I love it so much. I would recommend it to anyone who has a low pain tolerance and loves piercings. My next piercing will be my labret when I am 16 and can go and get it on my own. Because I know that my parents would never let me get another. And they already think I am weird enough to get this one done.

If anyone wants to e-mail me and ask questions or anything just email and i will hit you back as soon as I get a chance!!
