The first time I had my anti-eyebrow pierced I was a dumbass and didn't take care of it right, so it rejected. The first time we did it, I liked the way it looked, and I had it for a while before I had problems. I had it done at Studio ZG in Las Cruces, NM, by Richard, with Robert helping. Robert (iam.SteelOrbits) is my boyfriend, and I have him do my piercings because he's really good at what he does. He also did a good job making me take care of it until I went out of town for a weekend. I had had it for about a month when I left, and I guess I figured it was healed and I didn't have to worry about it. While I was gone I slept on it and by the time I got back to Las Cruces, it was really pissed off, with gobies and everything. We took it out so it got better almost immediately. Anyway, after we took it out and it was healed enough we decided to do it again.

The first time I had a 16 gauge surface barbell, but this time we used an 18 gauge. Robert made them both times. Richard did the piercing again.

The reason we did it the time we did was because I needed good luck (and looks) for a job interview. I had had the barbell for a while, so when I found out that I had the interview I went home really quick to get it. If I hadn't had the interview I doubt I would have redone it so soon. I was putting it off for a while. But now I had a good reason, so I swallowed my worry. We only had about thirty minutes to do it before I had to go to the interview, so everything was really hurried. Robert made the barbell really quick and everything was put in the sterilizer. While that was running I put on what makeup I could and tried to keep from getting nervous. While I had already had it done once, I had never re-pierced anything and had no idea what it was going to be like. I've had several people tell me that the second time hurts more and even though the first time wasn't bad I was still worried. When I sat down in the chair I was trying really hard not to act all nervous, but I don't know if it worked or not. Then there were the markings of where they were actually going to put through the needle. While they tried to make sure it was perfect, I was just sitting there trying really hard not to actually say what I was thinking. I just wanted it done as soon as possible. Add the nervousness about the interview and I was trying hard not to shake.

When Richard clamped my check and put the needle up against my skin, he had told me to relax, and all I could think was, if I relax, when that needle goes through me I'm going to jerk and something will go wrong. I said as much and he just let me sit there gripping the chair arms like I was drowning. I hate the way a needle feels when it brushes on my skin because all I want is the piercing over before I can change my mind. Richard did pretty good because it only brushed once before he just pushed it through. It hurt a lot more than the first time but not as bad as the other piercings I've had. The only part that sucked was I could feel my skin pop when the needle went through. Then Richard asked Robert to put in the jewelry for him since he had to do it quick. While he was putting in the jewelry the threading of the surface bar got caught inside but the needle came out. Even though he tried the jewelry wouldn't go the last bit through. Richard held the jewelry whil e Robert grabbed a taper, and they cleaned off my skin really quick after taking out the jewelry and tried to get the taper through. He had to clamp my skin again to get the taper through, but once it was through the jewelry went in fine. The ball went on fine this time, even though it's really small, and I was through. Robert felt really bad afterwards but I don't think he did bad. I'm just glad it only had to be tapered and not re-pierced again. It throbbed and stung a while afterwards, but it didn't bruise this time. I went to my job interview with my face red from the piercing but I felt really good. I'm pretty sure I got the job too. It looks great this time and I'm going to make sure I take care of it right. No problems so far, but I just did it yesterday.
