First, some background info. I'm fourteen and the only piercings I have are 3 in one ear, 2 in the other and now, eyebrow.

Here's how I came across getting my eyebrow pierced. I began asking my mom if I could get it for a graduation present. This is 8th grade graduation. She said no and didn't take me seriously at all. I continue bothering her constantly for the next couple weeks and she finally tells me to ask my father.

My dad and I don't have a very good relationship. All we do is fight, I couldn't care less if he drops dead. But I ask him and he goes off on a screaming frenzy. Whatever I go upstairs and slam the door. I ask him again the next day and ask him "why not?". He gives me bullshit excuses. 1. If it gets infected I'll have a huge scar on my face. I tell him that if I clean it, it wont get infected and if it does, there will be like two little dots not a HUGE scar. 2. It's against my religion. I'm catholic and supposedly it says somewhere in the bible not to pierce yourself or something. There was something else but I don't remember. So I give up on my dad because he's an ignorant asshole and work on mom...she's weak so I could easily get her to cave.

Easily said and done. She's fine with it as long as it's okay with dad. Well a couple months go by of me screaming and even crying every night because I want this so bad. So now we're on vacation in Florida and my dad's best friend and wife are with us. His wife talks to my dad for about 5 minutes and gets him to change his mind! My mom said it was peer pressure ..haha but I was sooooo happy!!!

I went in the phone book and found a certified piercing place right on Daytona Beach where I could get it. The next day we were on our way. Now, I get to the place and the piercer didn't tell me his name but he was really nice. I was kind of nervous because he was pretty young but he was really cute so it was all good. He didn't explain to me what he was doing but I knew from reading other experiences on this site. He first made two dots on my eyebrow, rubbed on some numbing stuff, took the clamps and said

" you may feel a little lightheaded" I was so nervous but more excited. I felt the needle go in one side, and poke through the other. It was just "ow ow ow" and vualah! It was done! It didn't bleed at ALL. I got a 16g ring with a black bead. He explained cleaning and my mom asked a few questions and we were out within 10 minutes. I was so surprised that it didn't hurt as much as I thought. It was seriously, no worse than getting your ears pierced.

I decided not to call any of my friends up in Jersey but surprise them instead. And wow were they surprised. They NEVER thought I actually go through with it and get my parents to say yes. I first showed up at my best friends house and she didn't even notice it until I practically had to shove it in her face. For the longest time she thought it was fake until I started moving it around. Then I met my other best friend (we're kind of like a trio)and she was just like " oh my god". They said they didn't think it would look good but it actually does look cute. So now I feel all special being the only freshman in my highschool with an eyebrow ring even though there's like a million other upperclassmen with it. Everyone asks if it hurt and I sometimes say yes and sometimes no but it really didn't.

If you're thinking about getting it done but your scared, DONT BE, It's SO easy. The only thing is that a couple guys I know don't like it, but what do I care? Some guys find it as a turn off but I don't understand why, it's just a piece of jewelery. Anyway, It's been two months today and I ordered a silver curved barbell with double crystal gems which will look pretty when I change it which I'm scared to so I might go to a place and have them change it for me. I also haven't been able to get my eyebrows waxed so I've been plucking but I think I'm going to go soon since it's completely healed now. So uh.. before you get it done, do your research! Even though I really didn't and it came out fine..
