Well.. first off ever since I can remember I have always loved piercings, tattoos and such. Finally after years and years of wanting to get a piercing I finally got the courage to get one. I has always been worried about the safety of getting pierced, and well worried that I might lose my job over this. (Luckily I didn't)

It just so happened that my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend was coming up, he had asked what I wanted and I had my heart set on getting my eyebrow pierced, so I called around and found this place close to my house called Fantasy Realm. So the time came I was waiting in the shop for my turn (nervous as can be) finally I got called in sat on this bench and this lady walked in. As we were talking she brought out this (what seemed to be huge) clamp and put it on my eyebrow I did not realize how much it would hurt! And well next thing I knew I had a huge bar across my eye with blood dripping down. Well FINALLY I got the ring in and well I guess she didn't notice that she pierced it too close to the end of the skin but she said that it might hold on if I follow everything properly. As I my boyfriend was paying my adrenaline was finally going down, I was so nervous about getting this done that I almost made myself sick. All the lady could say to me was, "don't worry it h appens all the time" not very comforting words seeing how the room was spinning and I felt like I was going to be sick. But the room stopped spinning and I went on my way.
So after I left I headed off to the store to buy the cleaning supplies I need. After walking around the store and wondering why everyone was staring at me (my eyebrow was still pretty red and kind of puffy) I got my sea salt and my jergans soap and went home to face my parents.
The first night I found was the hardest to sleep I was so afraid that I would rip it out because I tend to move around a lot and did not want to wake up with blood everywhere and no piercing left.
2 weeks later my eyebrow ring was hanging by the tiniest piece of skin (the width of a dime) I was so upset. Here I had a ring and a hole in my eyebrow that weren't together anymore, so a few months later I went back to Fantasy realm and told them my story and they re -pierced it at no cost. The best part about getting it pierced for the second time is that it barely hurt!
Anyway I had my piercing in for its 6 weeks and got my barbell FINALLY. With this piercing I did not clean it as much as I should(I do not recomend not cleaning your piercing, just follow your piercers advice), but it is still here. It was hard going to work with a ring, due to the fact I work with 2-5 year olds and there finger fits perfectly in the ring ;). But it's been over 6 months things are great I LOVE it. Id never give up my piercing, to tell you the truth most people say that they don't even notice it cause it suits me very well. The kids always ask me how my "oowwee's" doing. They love to ask a lot of questions I find from does it hurt to how did they do that, its interesting to hear how the kids think it gets done. All I can say if you have your heart set on getting pierced DO IT! If for some reason you regret doing it, take it out and you'll just have a small scar, but at least you did it :D
I don't know if I'm suppose to but when I get my eyebrows waxed I take out my barbell and let them wax and put it back in a few minutes later. And my piece of advice for anyone that has a eyebrow ring and wants to get there eyebrows waxed make sure the person that is doing the waxing is comfortable with it. The first time I got mine done in the middle of getting mine waxed the lady decided to tell me she was not comfortable. Apparently she did not notice I had a piercing...... go figure!
I don't know about anyone else out that but honestly I forget that I have it and I find that when people talk to me that they stare at it (it could be that fact that it is usually a bright colored ball on the end).
I am now trying to decide what my next piercing will be.
