Well for a long time I have wanted my eyebrow pierced. After my first ear piercing I have almost been addicted to piercing. My mom allowed me to get my belly button pierced when I was 12, so I didn't ask for anything else for awhile.I stuck to getting my as many ear piercings as possible. But coming up to my 14th birthday I figured if I asked for my eyebrow pierced she would let me. Well I was right. After talking for awhile we decided that my right eyebrow would look the best sense my left ear has more earings then the other. That it would balance out my face. My mom also wanted it done but decided she was going to wait until next month. We decided to do it before my brithday,so that up coming weekend we would go and get it done.

On that Friday at about 5 we drove up to a place called Voodoo where I had planned to get it done. It was about a thirty-minute drive. When we got there they guy told me he wouldn't pierce a fourteen year olds eyebrow, and that he didn't know of any place "with ethics" that would, even though the day before I talked to them on the phone and they said they would do it. I was very upset so as soon as we got back into the car I started calling every piercing place I could think of, asking if they would pierce a fourteen year olds eyebrow.I must have called at least 10 places but every place that I called said they wouldn't do it, until the very last place I called would.

The place closed at seven and it was already six. They said they would only do it that day if we made it there by six-thirty, so we drove there as fast as we could,it took about twenty mintues although we were thirty minutes away.I had my birth certificate and my mom had her ID, so we could prove she was my legal guardian. I picked out a small curved barbell with small balls at the end, and she went back into the room and began to clean everything. She brought me back and I sat in the comfy chair they have. She took the needles out of the package and marked my eyebrow with a red marker. (Needles should always come in a package) she wiped off the mark and cleaned my eyebrow with 3 different solutions. Then she re-marked it and put the clamp on, tightening it with a rubber band. The clamp was the only painful part of the whole thing, but not terrorable.Nothing compared to a belly button piercing. Then she got the needle all ready and made me take deep breaths. On my second ex -hale she put the needle through, with about fifteen people watching me who had come in from the street to watch me get it done. It was completely quick and painless. I almost didn't know it was happening. It felt like a small pinch on my eyebrow, thats it. I opened my eyes and the needle was right in front of my face, so I closed my eyes again. She quickly took out the needle and put in the barbell.

The piercing was bleeding alot so she had some trouble getting the ball on. Almost half my face was covered in blood, I looked in the mirror and it was kind of scary, but I had expected it to bleed. It took about 2 minutes to wipe off all the blood and screw the ball on. After it was done I looked at it in the mirror and absolutely loved it! (although it was still all bloody and swolen) We paid her the fifty dollars and I gave her a hug and we left with my new eyebrow piercing and her card for if I ever had any questions. its always nice to be close with your piercer.

That was yesterday...about twelve hours ago. And it barely hurts; it's just an odd feeling that I have to get used to. If i look up and to the left I can see the bottom ball, and I can't sleep on that side of my face yet. Mine isn't that sore or swollen, but after I got it done it hurt to blink.Sometimes it hurts when i touch it or move my face to much, but that is slowly going away with every time I clean it. I can even move the barbell around, but I dont do it very much. I suggest that anyone who gets this done reads as much aftercare information that they can find, because its a great piercing and it would be a shame for it to get infected. E-mail me if there is anything anyone would like to know. Enjoy your piercings!
