Wind back a year and a half ago, when my third and final brother was only three weeks old. I had decided to go and get another piercing, after already having seven at the time, and this time I chose to have a 'special hole' in my eyebrow. I had also decided it should be on the right side, God knows why, but I was determined for it to be on that side...hmm.

Anyways, I did all my research and had asked several questions on Tribalectic and browsed through the pictures and experiences on here. So a week after my lovely baby brother was born (with loads of blonde hair and big blue eyes!), I asked my Mum what she thought of the idea of me having my eyebrow pierced and would she take me up to Zoe like she normally does, she was unsure at first and my Dad said no like he always does, but I normally work him around to it. And so I did. He said it would be okay after I showed him the research I rounded up(which shows you're serious and not getting it because it's "cool" but getting it done for yourself). And my Mum said wait a while because she was still tired from giving birth, and I don't blame her! (Can't imagine the pain of it all. Urghhhhh). I seriously praise that woman. Four bloody children. Ouch. *realises she has gone off-topic...*

So two weeks go past, and I'm ready to go get pierced. My Mum phoned Zoe (she has done all fourteen of my now piercings - more are to come, though), she said I could go down today around four in the afternoon. So we pick my other little brother up from school and set off down to Zoe. I wasn't nervous at all, which is surprising, I was just excited. We go in, Zoe welcomes us and sees my baby brother for the first time. After ten minutes of small talk, I go to the back, Zoe prepares everything and already knew I wanted a plain silver bar. So she marks me, I okay the position, the clamp grips on to my skin, pinching me, then BAM! the needle goes in, I open my eyes to the needle infront of me. Beautiful. Then she inserts the jewelry, which hurt a bit. Zoe hands me the mirror and I admire my lovely new addition to my face. I pay Zoe (she gave me a 50% discount for being a loyal customer who goes there a lot 8) Lovely jubbly). And still to this day she gives me 50% discounts every time :s I guess I'm not much of a profit customer, heh.

I texted my Dad to tell him I got it done and everything went okay. Then I go to my Nan's house, who lives near the studio, show her and my Grandad, they say it looks nice. Then we go home, where I show my older brother who just shrugs and says 'that's nice' - as per usual! Then I show my younger uncle who regularly gets tattooed by Zoe and had a now retired tongue piercing done there. He does the same as my older brother - as per usual. AGAIN! The healing period was absolutely fine. The pierced area swelled straight away but went down within a few days. Just make sure you don't catch it on your clothes during the first 3 months, 'cause it WILL hurt!

Now a year and a half down the line, it's still with me. It's gone through several keloids though, which are a pain in the arse. But sea salt soaks eventually clear them up, and Zoe "flushes" it out for me if the keloid gets too much. I also have an 'angel' bar in it (basically a silver bar with angel wings with a blue diamond on it on the top). I was thinking of retiring it recently 'cause it gets caught too much (what with two mad younger brothers who find hitting me fun!), but I'm finding it hard to part from, so maybe a little longer, aye!

I also got to thinking I should get my left eyebrow pierced (it would make my piercings symmetrical on my face, so would match my right eyebrow and lip and nostril and my left lip and nostril) - will see how things with my right eyebrow piercing goes. Would be a shame if I had to retire it. Never realised 3 years ago how much piercings (though I had 6 lobe piercings done when I was younger with a gun [oh shame]. I've come along way since then) can mean to someone. *gets all serious* Oooer me.

And errrrr...that's the end of my ramblings :D Happy Piercing, people.
