After wanting an eyebrow piercing for over six months, I finally got my mother to consent and take me to get it done. We had gone on vacation upstate for a week, and since my industrial would have been a mere $40.00 (I paid $65.00!) up there, I decided to look up there to find something. We went to a place in Woodstock, a place in Tannersville, and then a place on Route 28 and all but one wouldn't pierce under 16. The one that did charged $40.00 PLUS the cost of jewelery, which was $15.00-$20.00. I decided that all of this trouble must mean that I should wait to go back to Click for my eyebrow.

The whole way there I was a bundle of nerves. I even played my favorite CD (The Ataris) in the car on the way there, to try to calm me down, but all that did was get me more and more excited. I got into Tattoo Lou's actually pretty scared, but my friends sister told me before hand that eyebrow piercings don't hurt. Considering she has everything and it's mother pierced, I should've listened. I still was scared.
We got the paper noterized the day before, so all I had to do was fill out the form, and Click lead us into the piercing room. I sat down on the chair and decided to go pee before he pierced me, in case it hurts and something happens. What can I say, I'm paranoid. So I went back into the room and sat down again on the chair. Click asked me if I wanted it pierced with a hoop or a barbell. After talking to all of my friends, who liked the barbell, I still went with the hoop. He said that he would give me the tiniest they have, and that made me feel better. He had his gloves on by then, and he asked me which eyebrow I want it on. I decided on my right eyebrow, since I have my industrial in my left ear. I like some kind of symmetry. He marked it with his little marker thing, and told me to sit back and relax, and take deep breaths. He held up what I thought was the needle, but I couldn't see it because I had my eyes closed. He said "I am not going to pierce you yet" and then pus hed the needle through. It didn't hurt at all! He had to remind me to breath, but other than that the whole thing was a piece of pie! The needle stayed there while he turned around to get the jewelry, but I couldn't feel it at all. He put in the hoop and the bead, and I opened my eyes to look in the mirror.
I love my eyebrow ring. It is the easiest piercing I've ever gotten. Everybody keeps asking me "Did it hurt?" My answer is always no. I highly reccommend it to anybody who is scared of painful piercings. It's the first day I've had it, and it feels like I've had it for years! The only thing I'm scared of is rejection, since I've had no luck with my industrial (I have keloids). I hope I'll be okay!
To anybody who is reading these stories to try to find out whether or not to get their eyebrow done, my answer is a big go for it! It is a whole lot less painful than the cartilage! In fact, it is virtually painless.
My next piercing goal is a Monroe. I don't know in my mother would go for that immediately or if it would take some persuasion, like my eyebrow did. I paid $40.00, which is a mistake since their chart on the wall said $45.00. My mom freaked out more than I did!
I'm excited to go back to school with it. People are going to be amazed that I actually had the guts to get it done, and all of th preppies are going to be so weirded out! That should teach the tube top teeny boppers. Only two girls in my grade have a facial piercing, counting myself. I'm proud to be one of them! The other girl has her nose, so I'm the only one with the eyebrow! It's a beautiful little silver hoop, and I'm happy I decided on the hoop. I might switch it to a barbell later on, but not any time soon.
Good luck to anybody who's getting their eyebrow pierced! It's painless and so cute! You'll have no troubles. I'm going to try to post a picture of my eyebrow if I can figure out how to work the digital camera, so you might see a picture sometime soon.
