Now where can I start, this is a story all about my first ever piercing, which has since led on to many more piercings...

So there I am one day, talking to a friend, and he happens to bring up wanting his helix pierced, and if I would go with him to get this done, and then all off a sudden up pops a thought-
'Hey, you could get your eyebrow done...' So we arrange to go out in a few days to both get pierced, each our first piercing, and in other words, to hold each others hands, because we would both be very nervous and worried about what to expect.
So anyway later on I ask my dearest mother if this would be ok, it was after all my first piercing, and I wasn't old enough at the time without consent, I also just didn't want to come home with a hole through my face and piss her off, and to my surprise she has absolutely no problems with it, great!
But then I find out another friend is going out the next day shopping, and I was all excited about my eyebrow now, so I say I'll come along, and get my eyebrow pierced, while they are out buying all manner of things, so I then arrange to go with this person instead, I wasn't going to wait any longer, i was getting impatient, so anyway i collect up about £50, and get ready for the next day to come.
I was extremely nervous when I got to the piercing place, I'd never had anything done before, I had no idea what to expect. I told the person on the counter what I wanted, and I'm giving a choice of jewellery, I chose a blue 1.6mm titanium ring (on the piercers recommendation) and she gave me the consent form to fill out, after doing so she checks through it, and then informed me that as I'm not 17 ( I know, weird) she will have to phone my mother for consent, anyway she does and that's all sorted out, so I pay, the price coming to £30. I thought this was kind of pricey, but have since learnt about all the other costs involved in a piercing shop, and am now happy to pay this much.
This is when i started getting scared, going into the back where the actual piercing would take place. I'm told to sit down on the bed, and my eyebrow is cleaned up with some surgical swab, and to little dots are marked on. I check these in the mirror, and as I didn't really know anything I just said they were fine ( they were anyway, which was good) So I'm told to shut my eyes, and there, I feel a sharp scratch, and one of my eyes waters a bit, but it's been done! I open up my eyes and look in the mirror, and I am very pleased!
I'm then told about the aftercare, how often to clean it, not to play with it, not to move the ring around, and given a bottle of saline solution.
It wasn't half as painful as I expected it to be, even though I had read that piercings don't really hurt anyway, I still expected more pain than this. I have also since retired it, partly because it did not want to heal, partly because I have had other facial piercings since, and don't want a head full of metal, and also because slowly it had been migrating, I could wear a 10mm barbell comfortable, but then that got to long, so I put in an 8mm barbell, but then that started to get to long.
I have also found out that I shouldn't be pierced with rings, as with the initial ring put in I had all manner of problems, so after a few months I got it changed to a bar, which helped a bit, but still didn't want to heal. I have since learned not to be pierced with rings, and have had no problems with any other piercings since.
Oh yeah, I told my friend who wanted his helix done that I'd got my eyebrow pierced, he wasn't impressed, now he'd have to be the only one being pierced, but out of the kindness of my heart, I went along with him. Afterwards he said it had hurt like a bitch, and nearly fainted, but the lovely piercer gave him a cookie, so all's well that ends well.
