I have wanted my bridge done for quite some time. So, I woke up at about 6 this morning. Since I never get up this early I had time to do things, such as think. I was sitting around and decided today would be the day I would get it done. I was very sure of this because like I said I really wanted this piercing. I had asked Jason if he did bridges the last time I was there for my septum. Since he said he did it has been in my mind since then so I have really been looking forward to it. It just takes me awhile to actually get up and do it. I think things over a million times too just to make sure I really want something. A mistake many people my age make is just spontaneously going out and getting something they will regret soon. So I had though it over strongly for probably 6 months. I made the final decision to get it about a week ago.

I got out the phone book for the number to Living Arts and called them. I just asked basic things like the cost and all. They said it would be ok to come in so I my dad and I left at about 1:30. It took about 45 minutes to get there so I had plenty of time on the ride there to think of it constantly. That got me somewhat nervous but nothing beyond the usual. I finally got there after what seemed like forever. We walked in the door, I told them what I wanted done and he told me to come in the back. My dad came, signed the paperwork and then left because he doesn't really like piercings. So I sat down and we talked for about 5 minutes. Then we decided to go out and have a smoke before he did it. We more or less just sat out there for like 5 or 10 minutes and he answered my questions about the piercing. After all that we came back in and he got everything ready. I decided to have it done with a barbell at a 14 gauge because I think barbells heal easier for me. I sat down and th en he told me to stand up so he could mark the placement. The placement looked good to me so I told him to do it there. I sat back down and I was a little bit more nervous because I knew it was coming. I laughed right before he pierced it which was a little strange, he said "think happy thoughts" and I found that funny for some reason. I didn't laugh enough to make my face move to mess up the piercing though. So he put the needle in and it took longer than I had thought. Most piercings are really quick but this one took about 4 seconds. I felt it go in like all other piercings and the normal pain. Then the pain stayed and I felt it come through the other side a bit later. It wasn't really all that bad. Just as Jason said it is dead between an eyebrow piercing and a septum piercing. So if you have both of them you will know what its like. After that he removed the clamps and transferred the jewelry. I turned around and looked in the mirror and it looked great. It bled a litt le bit but not much. I loved where it was placed, slightly lower than between the eyes, bridge piercings look better there in my opinion. After we talked for about 5 more minutes about jewelry and piercing things. Then I paid him the $55 and thanked him for another amazing job. Of course after that I left.

It was a little painful on the way home, just a little bit sore. It bled a very little bit as well. When I got home I mixed some anti-bacterial soap in a very clean glass and put into a syringe (no needle in it of course) and just gently squirted it around the piercing to clean the blood off. I then did the same with normal water, then salt water. As far as I can tell, even though its only about 6 hours after the piercing, this piercing shouldn't be too hard to take care of. No harder than normal anyway.

Anyone who has considered this piercing I would say go for it. Its a great piercing. It has a really nice look to it because its right there. It works good with other central piercings like lebrets and septums. I have yet to see mine with a septum. My septum healed from a surgery I had a week ago. I am getting it redone in about a month for the 3rd time. I Think the bridge will work very good with it. So I will just leave by saying if you are in North Eastern West Virginia and want any piercing done you should go to Jason at Living Arts, he is awesome!
